I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.  I've been using it for over a year.

I've got several and although I love my  M/S force feedback 2....  I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro also as an everyday kind of stick, I really like the #2 button position as you don't have to change your thumb position to use it.Perfect for a clutch or brake.  Mine's been holding up great for almost 2 years, you can get these dirt cheap on ebay - look for "Just Deals"  They gouge you on S/H but you can get them for $14.00 total. Also if you can win more auctions within a week they give a break on shipping. I got three for less than $35 delivered.

I've been wondering what to do with this.  I couild release it without the bundle option (that let you combine multiple modifications together with a text file listing them.

The physics aren't much of a modification.  Basically you can adjust the weight of the bike making it heavier.  That in combination with powercurve modifications make for a better riding bike.  Of couse then people can make the bike lighter which would allow them to jump everything in sight.

I have a version of the powercurve utility that adjusts the weight of the bike.  I could restrict that to not let you make the bike lighter.

Hey Bruce, MD and I have got an MCM2 Recorder coming out in a couple weeks.  Does this "packager" equate to another 'hack" that I need to look for or is it not to be concerned about?  Could it give an advantage in online racing?

Thanks,
Wayne

DirtTwister

It wouldn't exploit anything more than can be exploited now.  I would recommend that your recorder check for unmodified RES files including the (ui\uires.res).   It is very easy to change the weight of the bike.  I can send you the info on how it can be changed so that you can check for it.

i think this is good idiea u restrict that.

looking forward to it without the bundle option (as i read before it takes some time to finish all the bundles) ,

I like al types of tracks, wfo , realistic tracks , fast , slow , hard , easy.....
by what i read looks like will be good to ride real size tracks and to build also.
hope u can release it in some days or weeks .

Hmmmm.... sounds interesting.  I haven't touched MVA in about 2 months and I ran MCM2 for the first time in a long while tonight.  Man I can't believe that this game is still just THAT freakin awesome.  Hope you release this soon bruce!

I was lucky enough to test this back in 2005, and I made a track with a special traction map, and a weighted bike with a new power curve, I liked it so much I thought it should have been mcm3! ;D

the package would be a great addition to mcm2, did you ever release the track to the general public.
or was it just, for testing the packager. just wondered.

VRT_RIDEBLUE

No I never released the track to the public, as it didnt ride well without the nec. tools to ride it .

cpt_slow

Would this mean that u could acheive a sim type feel, or a game type feel in the same game? wow ;D

DesertRider

Any idea when it will be released, IMO i think this is whats needed to bring some peeps back to mcm2.

So guys, MVA is here, and has slightly gone, MCM2 is still here and kicking it with new tracks being made on a weekly basis.
Any news on whats happening with this?
I know barely anyone reads these posts anymore, but it would be cool to see something you guys worked on for ages be distributed to the players of MCM2...
If you can't, atleast open up the options to the few of us over at mdxracing so we can take the flame forward hehe.

Cheers,
Mitch
