This is probably a question for Laurie or someone else but i have no idea on how to do the spline like this:

where u have to totally go in and do a couple different spline points to make the start.  i know spodeboys done it he just never revealed how.

anyways any help is great for me and you! since i will be releasing these tracks even tho there are a lot better makers out there...

-thanks, ben

You have to make the funnel with extra points and the whole track done.. so basicly the funnel takes place over the whole track,..

You can click insert node after you place the funnel.  This adds another node to the funnel.  Just position it where it needs to be.  Do this as many times as needed.

Thats what I meant, but you have to do it for 1 lap to make it work on this layout I think..

if you want to make sure the first lap isn't a short lap (from the start to where the funnel meets the main loop) you have to make sure the funnel joins the main loop after the finish line. To make it a little easier to understand, place the finish on the last spline point in the loop, and then make the funnel join the first spline point in the loop, otherwise the lap counter gets decremented at the end of the funnel - making a very short first lap.

ok well i went and bundled the track and for some reason the finish gate moved back one node and the rider started at where i first hit "add funnel".  what i did was i did the whole spline around the track then i chose my entrance for my funnel and clicked add funnel then with my funnel node highlighted i hit "insert node" a couple times and brought the funnel back back back until i got it where i wanted it and then i bundled the project and it makes it alll messed up in game?? i dont think i am doing anything wrong.  plz help if u need pics then tell me.

The riders will start where the starting line is originally placed when you use the add funnel.  What you have to do is take the nodes where you want the start to connect and temporarily move them to directly in front of where you want your starting line to be.  Then add the funnel, insert nodes between and move your temporarily moved nodes back to where they originally belong.

Hope that makes sense.

And I am not sure but I think that the finish shows up at the very first node you place when creating the spline.

good luck

One of the big reasons for writing D2 was that every time i placed a spline i Dillo it would crash on me, so i never learned too much about splines in Dillo. If you load it into D2 it will clean up your spline and you will start from where you place/move your start line and finish where you place/select/move your finish line. The only thing is once you have done that in D2 you can't go back to Dillo with the spline because Dillo does some weird stuff with it which is what D2 cleans up.
