I have tried both the SX tracks in MXU and MCM2, to me they are to easy in MCM2 as everything is easy to over jump, but I've always liked smaller technical SX tracks that push MCM2 to it's limits like Twisted SX Night as that was how I wanted it to be before making the track which can still cause me problems sometimes, and my newer SX track I stopped working on awhile back because of several reasons seems even more technical, but theres alternate lines to the harder faster lines which can almost be taken just as fast. Hopefully I can get it finished one day.

Overall I think they are good tracks for the average player for some close racing even though not much of that goes on in the zone anymore :(, by memory I've raced once online in the last 5 months.

Good job on coverting them guys, it was good to compare how they ride in both games.

Only oppinions..........

I think your way wrong about the tracks!

If I had released them or even anyone else would have at factory they would have recieved all of the average 300+ downloads that tracks get now days.

Just my thoughts!

mk7bultaco

I agree with 007. They would receive good reviews and get a decent amount of downloads.......maybe even more than the average nember.
We all enjoy new tracks that are "proficiently" and "professionally" produced......these are good examples of that genre.

DSPeeper

I believe they are "good" tracks.(nicer trees  ::))
What makes MCM2 what it is, is the occaisional
"GREAT" track, and just the freshness of new tracks and designers all the time.

It is, however,  great work from TD to bring this kind of stuff out.

i wish the scale of these tracks was like half of what it is. seems to be no challenge to them.

Well I'm glad at least someone agrees with me.

DBR_Dodgy

they was done as they were because they are converted,  the guys wanted them to be as near as they could get to being as they were on the console.
they didnt want to change anything from the origianl setup.

if ya fancy them scaled down take up the challenge and try making them with dillo and scale it down to your likeing.  ;)

I shall re-iterate for the 3rd or 4th time, that I am not commenting in any way shape or form on the work of the twisted dirt crew.

Like Aus Twisted and 51, I think these tracks are much too easy and the scale much too large.  I felt MXu was a big disappoint.  Great ideas and advances in physics, but too little gravity and IMO poor track design (and lack of an editor to remedy that) held the game back tremendously.

I'd much rather play the excellent MCM2 user created tracks with a dated physics engine then the IMO poor MXU tracks with the newer physics.  All I'm saying.  Nothing to do with the work of the TD guys.

DirtTwister

I'll re-iterate that I think the tracks are excellent.  I completely disagree with the "much too easy".    Who says that tracks have to be difficult to make a lap on.  When going faster than the next person, all tracks are hard.  These tracks are well designed, they all provide the potential for the small mistakes that makes racing fun.

They have multiple options with easy and pro lines.

You can make almost any track "too-easy" just slow down and don't try to get the lowest lap time.  ;D

i think everyone whos said too easy etc is thinking along the lines of riding tracks with the type of difficulty where you're pretty much on the edge running the fast or low lines where you feel like your gonna have a heart attack trying to make some corners and what not. i sense you guys getting a little butt-hurt and trying to defend your creations here where i dont think that is at all necessary because the creations, yes, are definitely amazing in all aspects. It's not youre faults the MXU tracks are what they are. Some people just enjoy more of a rigid, fine line, on the edge experience that's all. Like I said before the whole creation of this project is amazing and like nothing I've ever seen for MCM2 before. The nats are definitely alot more fun for me than the sx's though...and more appealing.

DirtTwister

Nobody's getting "butt-hurt" here.  Just disagreeing.    They are very raceable.  Too me an easy track is one that you make virtually no mistakes on.   A too easy track is one that you just hold the throttle down, never use the brakes, and there aren't any turns that launch you too the moon if you don't make them..
