Hi all,

I've recently been learning to build tracks while following the great tutorials on youtube and would love some feedback on what I have so far. Was going for a small track just to learn how to build the various elements so any feedback on sizing etc would be great. Download here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/333189/zTrack_one.zip.

Cheers.

All in all it's a good start. The jumps are made pretty well. Your berms are nice too although I'd like the one before the 2-2-2  to be a bit further in because when I rail it I end up next to the takeoff :P.
Maybe add a few objects or trees next time to get a bit of an inviroment going (it will change a lot if it looks nicer ;))
A hard part is always the texturing (RGB Mask). Maybe take a look at the stock tracks RGBs and/or read through this http://twisteddirt.com/wiki/MaskMapTexture . Btw. This WIKI is a great place to learn stuff too if you dont mind reading :D

Thanks for checking it out and replying @Darkslides19!

Re berm before the 2-2-2; I see what you are saying. Would you prefer if the take off was further down the track a bit or if the end of the berm pushed / kicked you back in a bit?

re objects; yeah I want to add more once I got some feedback on the track so i don't have to move much if I change my mind about something :)

Thanks for the wiki link, i enjoy reading so the more links the better :) At the moment I only have red + base + alpha in place so I'll look into adding more.

What did you think about the smoothness of the track and the spacing of the jumps?

No problem man, I enjoy helping new guys ;)

For the 222 thing... I'd like it when you could get on the takeoff but i have to deal with it :P I like to rail berms wide open but if you cant do that on this track its totally fine :D

Now: mostly personal preference because I dont usually complain about jumps launching you or being flat etc. In my opinion if somebody makes a track than you have to deal with the jumps the builder put down. Otherwise every track would be the same and i dont think thats what everybody wants :P
Also feel free to add me on steam if you wanna talk a bit: *STS* Ds19

And I appreciate it.

That's cool, I have an idea for that 222 area when I get a chance to update it I'll let you know.

That's a really nice way to look at it. Hopefully i'll have some more time next week and will add some bales etc and make it look nicer and post back.

Thanks again for the feedback :)
