My new Reflex track making Series

I am in no way trying to copy al167, just trying to make more of an updated way and for updated things like water, objects and just overall how i make my hieghtmaps :)

Just FYI.. water is being updated at a later date (If you didn't know), so I'd hold off on that one for now. :)

I noticed that none of the models loaded up inside DE.  Would be good to explain to people why that is when you get around to placing objects.

Overall, good job.  The Leveller "step" will only apply to a select few.  I skipped some of the video but I wondered if you explained about Leveller not being 100% necessary?  And like I said in the YT comments, the 16bit mode in Photoshop is only useful for importing into Leveller.  When DE loads any imported image, it will always load them as 8bit, so those without Leveller (which will be most I think), won't see any of the benefits they might expect from using a 16bit greyscale heightmap.

I remember AL167 had all his images in 16bit mode, and that became a problem for some people when it came to the RGB Mask.

FYI
I found that when you make it 16 bit image you can't save the image as a .bmp file wich makes you unable to open it up in the smooth tool.
and as jamieT said, it doesn't help you to make it 16 bit. so i would just stick to 8 bit :)

Yea ill adress that in the next video ....but if you have leveller it helps to save it as a 16 bit :D
