Hey guys, I am in the middle of making a track and I made the mask map and it has f*cked the height map. Jumps, berms and ruts are all gone. Also the outside of the track (Red Mask) is 3-5 meters above the actual track (Black mask). When in EarthWorks, looking at the height map in the terrain tab, there is a bright green highlight around the track.

Also, how can I shape the take off ramps to be curved like jumps in real life (using Photoshop). My take offs are curved at the bottom the go up on a straight angle.

Cheers.

Make sure you are working on two different and separate files (1.height map) (2.RGB Mask map) Your Mask map can not affect your height map unless you did both in one document and saved as height map export and somehow had your mask map layers on. Then yes your height map could get screwed.

Create your Jump face vertices in Photoshop with your gradient tool moving the sliders and adding gray-scale nodes in combinations, so for a simple triple jump you would have 3 nodes or more to get the shape of the faces.... Just my opinion.... That's one way to do it...

to get curved jumps in photo shop you can if you have your take of jump go to curves and change it slightly.
or you can, what I do, have your straight gradient 0 to 100 and at like 35 change the brightnes to something lower then 35 30 for example then at 65 to 62 and at 100% just 100
