I cant get the two colour seat graphics to stay sharp.
ive tried many things including moving the red colour ensuring it was directly on the wireframe line, also I tried moving it down lower on the seat ect. I then tried changing the mud/dirty map so the seat section was black on all channels. ??? ??? ???

any one have any ideas? im thinking I may have to just opt for a total red or total black seat :'( :'(

Does it look sharp on the UI model? Which model is it?

It's possible that the ingame model is different to the UI model and uses different UVW mapping. At the moment the in game model uses a skin made by reducing the size of the UI skin. It might need to be a separate skin (and wireframe) for this model.

Can you post a picture of the texture/skin itself?

its for the blaze 450. it bleeds also in the UI.
heres the skin. any ideas?

Thanks to Jamie's 15 mil credit mod i was able to test the stock Blaze 450 and that also bleeds.

We've had this with previous skinning efforts on previous titles and i think it just comes down mipmapping and lod models as the viewpoint changes. Somehow it only gets noticed when we start skinning but it's clearly there on the stock skins as well.. In the past we fixed this with packing texs with no mipmaps, so just the highest res tex and that fixed it, but people with lower end gfx cards can have problems with 12 riders all using hi res texs at the same time - or at least it has been a problem in the past.. Might be an option here..

I tested this with Allan this morning, and I had no problems with the bleeding.  I sent him the exact same package I tested with and somehow his showed up with the bleeding.  Due to the time difference between us, he had to leave before we could get to the bottom of it.

We thought that it may be graphics settings related...  My graphics settings are...

Resolution : 1280 x 720
Motion blur : Disabled
Texture Quality : High
Shadow Quality: Low
Vsync: Disabled

Just tried those setting,

Fullscreen enabled
AA disabled

I still get the bleeding, so maybe it's hardware dependant, i am using nVidia gfx card.

I've also got fullscreen enabled.  I'm on Nvidia as well, GeForce 9600 GS.  Saw these in my graphics.cfg file...

AdaptorOrdinal=0
Antialiasing=0

Not sure what AdaptorOrdinal means... :-/

This is the same stock skin I believe, on a Blase 450.  I think it's "One Industries Techno", or something...  It looks all fine on-track as well as in the menus.

Adaptor ordinal is the index of the gfx adaptor in your system, this will usually be 0 unless you have multiple adaptors present.

I was using the test drive area in the garage to look at the skins, maybe there is something in that arena that is causing it. I'll take a look switchyards and see what happens..

In switchyards:
If i look fom the side then the bleeding improves and seems to disappear, but if you look from directly behind and not too high above the bike, so you're looking at a shallow angle it gets steadily worse. It's probably just a limit of the computer maths with rounding errors creeping in enoguh to spoil the clen lines. I find if i roll the bike up a ramp so that i am looking at the seat more from above the seat it improves again, though it's still not perfect..

thanks for the input, it seems im not the only one with a problem..... that stock 0ne industries skin looks just as bad for me too laurie!
I just tried jamieT's settings in the reflex launcher, including lowering the resolution to 1280x720 - no difference still bad bleeding.

my gpu is a gtx570. maybe something in the newer gpus is causing it??
ive been messing with the settings in the NVidia menu so far with no success. can you show us you NVidia control settings for reflex JT?
there might be something there that might give us a clue to whats different.

al167

FIXED!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I used these settings NVidia menu(not global, just for reflex under program settings tab) , man what a difference!!! textures are sharp!!
