Help, I think I broke my game

Hello, and thankyou for clicking on the title in the list to read this.  I am going to attempt to be quick here to save time, but when I was installing custom skins into my game I somehow broke it and have two gears selected all the time, one being the fox platinum latinese red, and that one is stuck and cant change, whereas I can change what the second one is.  No matter what I do it will always reset to the fox platinum latinese red and It just angers me that I cant use anything else for some reason.  I tried re installing the game and the problem is persisting.  I was wondering if anyone here knew why this might happen.

You didn't unequip custom gear from your rider before you installed a new gear pack.  Seems like the guys releasing the skins have neglected to mention this in their skin packs.  You will need to reset your game progress now.  To do this, locate a file called 'savegame.bxml'.  Open it in a hex editor, and delete the last 4 bytes of the file, and save.

I am sorry for not responding earlier, but thankyou and you are (words I want to put here may not go over well with forum mods) awesome.  Thankyou a lot for the help, your tracks are awesome, and that camera mod is a godsend.  I have no clue how you do it, but Nordic needs to hire you.

Instructions!
Rename to "savegame.bxml"  (without the double quotes)

Place into this location.. (backup old save if you wish)
....\Steam\userdata\xxxxx\55140\remote

You may also need the following DLC files installed...

This save file will give you 15 million credits.  The rest of your progress can be restored by using cheat codes (not hard to find those).

If you'd kept reading the thread, you would have found the 15 Million save file I made.
