Hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone have a FULL tutorial on how to make a track? Ive found some on youtube and they all just stop at some point and dont go any farther. I have my first track (used to test out burms and jumps and other stuff) done as far as i can get it. I just have no idea what to do next... I have the height map done, the RGB map done and the Top down map done.. so whats next? Any help is much appreciated.

I'm not sure how far AL167's tutorials go, but I know he has covered a lot of ground.  Are those the videos you've already watched?

Next up for you is probably the file we call the "Chrome Lum".  You can check the Wiki link at the top of this page, it might give you more information that you haven't learnt yet..?

If you post some pictures of the track, we might be able to point you in the right direction of what you need to work on, and we'll also know what YOU think needs to be worked on, and what areas you want to improve upon. :)

Yeah I watched the tutorials on YouTube by al167. They were extremely helpful until I got to where I am now, I will post pictures tomorrow!

I havnt finished them yet, but I will probably do one when the next version of DE is released. all I can say is look at the sample reflex files and try and copy those to suite your track. the wiki explains them a little. the alpha for the chrome lum map is what makes your textures look nice. I put my height map into L3dt(included in my track building kit) and run it to make the alpha for the chrome lum. I also add highlights to it to show bumps and ruts.
heres the main image and alpha for Anaheim 1 2013.
