MCM2: The Resurrection

Hi all.

I have not been here or played MCM2 for ages.  I forgot how enjoyable the game is.

I am making an attempt to raise Motocross Madness II from the ashes.

I am sure there are still some peeps racing it.  I for one have not touched it in 8-10 years.  So for me it is a rebirth of sorts.

I am frequenting Voobly but do not see anyone there.  Are peeps playing in other places?

Clue me in please. 

Right now I am starting Races/gatherings/bench racing from email.  Let me know if you want to be a part of this.  I can & will post to this forum when & what tracks we will race.

I want to thanks Bruce for giving me (us) a place to hang out.  Seriously one cool dude...

Let me know your thoughts.  I hope I am not fighting an uphill battle.

I got MCM2 running on Win7-64 now thx to DirtTwister's post here:

RE: 2 GB RAM limit...
"...just run MSConfig and reboot.

1. Run MSConfig.
2. Click on "Boot" tab
3. Select the boot option you want (if you have multiple OS's) then click "Advanced Options"
4. Check "Maximum memory"
5. Enter 2048
6. Close MSConfig applying your changes and reboot.

To put it back do the same thing and uncheck "Maximum memory"

OK, I've been on Voobly several times & no one ever shows up...

I am all about "early to bed, early to rise" though & go off line around 9pm CST.

Anyone want to set a specific DAY & TIME to race?

For the record...

AMA_Whymee & I tried to connect on Voobly, but he is on an AIRCARD with a 172.* internal IP and I was on a cable modem + router as 192.* IP and it would not work.

I would like to plug directly into my modem & try again to see if it works...

Let me know if anyone wants to give it a shot, or host a room yourself!
