I'm using F-Secure antivirus, since it came for free with the internet subscription. Every time a scan for virus he finds 2 trojanviruses and he does nothing about them, even though he is set to do so...

Does anyone know if its just F-Secure that is bad or what I'm suppose to do to get rid of the virueses... Any help is appreciated...

What are the files that it finds and where are they?  It is sometimes impossible for the anti-virus software to either fix or quarantine the offending files.   It may also make your PC not work if it does.

Let me know what they are and we'll go from there.

I may have a modified version of F-Secure (It's intergrated with my internetservice providers layout...) and I cant see exactly where and what the viruses are now after... I could see it in the report after the scan, but I'd have to rescan it to see it again and it took quit a while...

I remebered that they where in the windows\system\ folder though...

I remeber when I used Norton Antivirus before I could choose to quarantine or delete the file. But with F-Secure I am not given the option, not even a warning that its still there...

If I swich to Norton again I will probobly get rid of it... But when the trial period ends I will have to put in the cash again  :(

I read about the two different viruses... One of them came through a IE security hole... Thought that would make Simon happy :D From now on I'm only using Firefox ;)

Edit: My sister uses the same antivirus software and it got trojan viruses much worse than me... When I boot it and windows is loaded fully, a message apperes that it found a trojan virus and then the computer crashes... I dunno how to solve that... Is there any other way to do that without formating?

Installed Norton Antivirus instead today... Although it couldnt fix all the trojanviruses (Norton found some more) it told me that i needed to get rid of them, and an online guide provided by the software told me how to do it manually...

Thanks for the help.

Damn  :-X i say reformat the damn computers you have, and use Norton Anti-virus and keep it updated at all times and have it on auto-protect. And use  http://housecall.trendmicro.com/  that online virus scan to make sure that any other viruses dont get through and to make sure that Norton is doing its job. thats what i use and i havent had a virus for over 2 years  :-*

eeeeewwwww Norton's crap it sticks its fingers in to everything. F-Secure is one of the top Antivirus Apps, but hey its only my opinion some day Nortons great But I personally hate it. Its annoying as hell.
