Hey,

Have you ever looked at a ATV Offroad furies track file? I looked at it once and it seems to be almost the same thing tham mcm2 but it uses *.tr2 instead of *.trn . It should be great to convert these maps too...  ::) Maybe you  guys have a tool to open the *.tr2 file  ::)

that would be cool.  ATV had some fun tracks.  I don't think TD has a "tool" to open anything.  They just have a talented bunch of people to do it themselves.

Well actually it was looked at before doing the MXU stuff for MCM 2.  If I remember correctly dispmaps can be converted but not textures and objects.   It would be a lot more research and work to convert the ATV stuff over.

motocross mania nationals are good , a half convertion is not bad idiea thought (100%diapmap + 100% textures + mxa trees and objects (about the trees and objects dont need to be 100% the same and 100% in the same place) , they are in a big dat file , extract all is other problem lol .

Having the dispmap converted is a good start. If textures and objects can't be convert, why not just redo the tracks using the MVA stuff. I'm sure people would enjoy riding the tracks, replica or not..

TD have a tool to open *.trn files.

As far as I know, the tr2 and trn are the exact same thing.  It would be bad ass to see the atv tracks recreated.

I dunnow, but I doubt they have a "tool."  I'm sure they just look at the code by hand.  No "tool" is involved.

I really don't care about this tool. I just add these links to show you there's a tool to open .trn and, if i'm understanding correctly, a part of the .tr2 files.

Peace

well... I guess you got me on that one.  touche'
