we gona have the povray dispmaps in the next months? or with the patch that rainbow is building?

i hope yes, well the mxa bike work good with sharp polygons witch is fun see the job that the suspension do ,but i prefer use more smooth in some parts of the tracks like all stock tracks are.
I like the sharp thing but i like to choose where i want the track to be sharp , not in all the track, with povray we can use smooth and sharp if we want.
In small grid tracks is ok without povray because all the polys are near each others but in big grids and  big heights all the track is very boxy, im building Redbud , grid 10, the bike ride good but in the curves is very sharp polys (povray needed lol) , is possible ride it without problems but more smooth would be better in some places.
The stock tracks use povray and after race all ,they dont look 257 to me but i can be wrong or maybe its because of the povray job that smooth every thing, and the stock tracks textures are 960 ? hum
i can be wrong but they look bigger than 960 but...

Try using the smoothing function in the editor, I was skeptical but it works better that I thought it would, this game has taken a giant forward from MCM2 in physics, but it has also taken some huge leaps backwards in key areas. :P

Yeah, I used the smoothing function in the editor, and I've been quite pleased with the results.  The editor is a really cool utility.

ya, the editor smooth tool put every thing very smooth (povray),  looks like the editor just dont import or export!!!
Hope the patch bring that and also a smooth filter like we have in paintshopPro or as the smooth tool we have in Armadillo would help.
oh and btw 513x513 too and 1920´s  ;D       (about this  <<< i want try 1º the povray thing and see what hapen in the 257 , if we get povray working in the editor ofcorse)
