like what jamie said with the stadiums. but if your keen you can do what i did for the mec cup and use parts of different stadiums. heres the link to that track http://www.mxmaniacs.com/track_view.php?trackid=1231&page=1
to delete parts you need to ungroup the model first then select the part you want to delete, then delete it. but be careful as theres no undo button!
i recomend placing the stadium at the end as it gets in the way of selecting other models. (but put it in first to size it up, then delete it)

when placing models i recomend using the shotcut keys. i,o,y,u,h,jk,l,n,m,v,b.  when moving around in the 3d display use q,w,e,a,s,d,r,f,z,x thats the basics, im shure youll figure it out!
cheers al

Glad to hear that you got it working Paul.

I also have to say that Jamie put all the stadium groups together, starting with the positions and names of all the objects and then deleting the unwanted items 1 by 1 - using development versions of DE. So everytime anyone places a stadium in a single click - say a big thanks to Jamie.. :)

Yeah big ups to ya brother Jamie! The tutorials are very informative and definitely help to get any creator up to snuff on the tools. Well done!

Plus the help on DE which I know (cause I've been there) isn't easy to do organizing and testing...great job sir!

Gotta admit...it's a LOT more involved NOW than it was back in the MCM1 & 2 days! AND HOW!!!

In any case...I'm having a lot of fun messing with things. I haven't done this in a LONG time. Feels good to get things to a point of testing and adding objects. I always liked Reflex...but needed to be able to make tracks and place objects (and hopefully one day custom or user-created objects) before I felt like making a track was worth the time it takes.

Never the less...although I'm not really known as an SX creator...I've been messing with a replica of next week's St. Louis Supercross 2013. I'll have to watch and see how close the actual track is to the track map and make whatever changes are needed to make the flow the same. I've also got a LOT more objects to place and for some reason the bales seem particularly difficult to get placed...but it's just a matter of taking the time really.

Thanks to EVERYONE who has taken the initiative to get things this far along. I feel inspired and if I can also find the TIME...then I may be ready to jump back into the 'fray' and make a few tracks for this game.

I've also got a National that I've been working on for quite some time that I haven't messed with in a bit. It's a replica of Matterly Basin as it was in 2006 for the MXdN. I got to visit that track when I was working on ATV Offroad Fury 4. I got a TON of pictures and I pretty much walked around the whole perimeter. So I'm hoping to find enough objects and fencing and stuff to line the outside of the track and really get that "EURO NAT FEEL".  :)

There's a small white icon which is the 'nudge mode', and will help you get a more accurate placement.  AL listed the keyboard shortcuts above - which are really helpful in my opinion.  I've got a program called 'XP adder', which allows the user to map any keyboard or mouse controls to the joypad.  So I just rig up the object movement and rotate shortcuts to my analogue sticks and away I go! :)  I highly recommend it!  SX tracks are always a pain to place the hundreds of bales needed, so hopefully it will ease your pain a little :)  Looking forward to seeing your tracks, especially Matterly Basin ;) - as I'm from the UK.

I should also add there needs to be a big thanks to al167 for his tutorials, and of course the endless testing both Jamie and Al have been doing on DE, they've both played a big part in knocking it into the shape that it is currently in..

Thanks guys.  :)
