Hi Gang, hoggy came up with an idea,
about running another track contest,
As the Demo of MCM2 hit our computors
10 years ago, he thought we could run a
track contest celebrating 10 years of MCM2.
if you are interested, let us know at the track
contest thread.

I made about 6 tracks for MVA, and released them, the reason that i gave up, making MVA tracks, was mainly because of placing objects.
and after testing the tracks, having to go back in the editor, and find the
objects floating. i have made many MCM2 Tracks. and still making tracks
for mcm2, Which are uploaded at MDx_RACING.
http://mdxracing.com/news.php
like Mike said , consider a revival  MCM2 track contest.
all the Guys here, have done a grand job creating add on's for
MCM2 track creators and making life much much easier to create tracks.

thanks MDx_chris774

General Discussion MVA / Re: wide screen support?
February 26, 2007, 08:06:26 PM
I have just brought a wide screen monitor, i had to click on control panel,
click on display, click on settings, pull the screen resolution slider across
to the right, which should be 1440x900.
then you need to set your monitor to 1440x900, that can be done by pressing
auto on your monitor.

I was lucky enough to test this back in 2005, and I made a track with a special traction map, and a weighted bike with a new power curve, I liked it so much I thought it should have been mcm3! ;D

the package would be a great addition to mcm2, did you ever release the track to the general public.
or was it just, for testing the packager. just wondered.

General Discussion MVA / Re: Funnel Blocker
September 28, 2006, 08:36:15 AM
That is very interesting having Funnel blocker's, changing the thread slightly, when i was messing around placing some MXU objects
on some of my mcm2 track's, i found that you could see the face side of the object's, but could not see the rear of the object's.
after reading this thread about Funnel Blocker's, i thought i try the idea out for mcm2. and it works extremely well, just a matter of
placing the objects in the right position, allways remember to remove object collision.
THE objects i found that work are the mxu sx flag objects. and one or 2 other objects.
thanks for the idea, have fun chris

General Discussion MVA / Re: Floating Objects
February 19, 2006, 11:31:15 AM
Hi Kasberg, after a lot of working with he editor, the only time that the editor re_sets back
to the stock setting, is when you have been working with the spline, stock setting=6. that is when you get floating objects, all you need to do is re_size your setting back to the setting you are using.
then the objects will be back to normal. and not floating, some of the tree's may be floating, but you can re set them hand. make a note of your grid size, then you should be ok.
hope this will help you.

Kasberg, i'm having the same problem, the only thing i can suggest, is leave your object placement
to last. other then that, sorry i cant be of much help to you.

the tuff blocks are also sunken in game

you can higher and lower them by using the middle green icon with arrow's pointing up and down. on the object control area. the other arrow's are for turning the object's left or right.
hope this will help you.

problem i have , is i got all the mxu objects installed, started dillotoo97.3, and got a violation message, to do with the dillotoo97.3 exe file. i was not able to run mcm2 or armadillo after i installed the mxu objects. before i installed the object's i was able to run dillotoo97.3 with out any problems at all. to get over the problem, i removed all the mxu objects from the folder. then had to place the original mcm2 res folder back into  mcm2.as well as replacing the mxu_res file's.
and every thing is running as normal again. am i right in thinking that the mxu_object's go into the res folder in mcm2 ?. during the time i had mxu object's  installed they did show in dillotoo97.3.
i was not able to load a track in, to see how they looked. i don't know if this will be any help to
you or not. have fun regards chris
footnote, the track i am working on is national lowres track. gridsize 6.0.
