General Discussion MCM 2 / Re: Resolution Location
January 02, 2013, 04:02:29 AM
I thought I'd bring this topic back to life.

I've managed to get MCM2 installed on Win7 x64 with little to no troubles. My issue is, however, that the resolution changer is stuck on 800 x 640; with no other options to use. My monitors resolution is 1920 x 1200. I scoured the internet for solutions but came up short.

Has anyone seemed to find a work around or fix for this?

Oh, I should have known. So is it worth getting Reflex for PC since the ability to create tracks has come about?

Yes ;)

Especially since Steam has their holiday sale on at the moment, which means Reflex is 50% off.  These guys will probably tell you to pick up MX Simulator, whatever that is.... lol just kidding :-*  But with Reflex at such a cheap price - you can't go wrong.

I indeed picked up Reflex last night for 9.99; you can't be that! After playing for about 3 hours, I have noticed this game is SO MUCH more smoother on the PC than on the PS3 and cheapo VISIO TV. The controls are spot on, the bike hardly tends to wash out and fly off the track.

As far as MX Simulator, I give it A for effort, but my skills with that game a whopping F! I no longer play that.

I'm curious if any of you have MCM2 installed on a widescreen 1920 x 1200? I can't seem to change resolutions within the game, and it spits me out right before a track loads. (Running Win7 64bit)

We are still here (kinda!)  The VRT name will never die!  hehe

Whoa! Glad to see you're still active here too. I just re-downloaded "The Final Cut" to mess around with. I'm not sure if playing with the Precision Pro is still the way to go, or perhaps a PS3 pad. Either way, that track is tough!

Dang, Whiteboy, 22Ryann (Metz I take it?), Lizbon and SPODE?

Glad to see so many familiar names. I'd love to re-install MCM2, I still have a few CDs with tracks on them.

Hope the world is treating you all well.

General Discussion / Well well well..
December 26, 2012, 11:38:40 PM
It's been ages since I've logged into this account. I thought I'd drop in and see how the MX gaming community was doing, and if there was anything new happening in the world. I'm glad to see so many familiar names still active here.

I hope all is well with Twisted Dirt, and if Jeff aka Nut is still here, well this is Chris, we use to ride at Starwest.

Take care gang, I'll be here and there.

Hey BoNalls,

I was the one Bruce purchased MX Mania for, (Thanks Bruce!) and I no longer play it. If you still want this game, PM me and I'll send it to ya.

General Discussion MVA / Re: MVA Track Editor Video

I was fooling around with the Editor myself and must say it's pretty simple to use. If you scroll through your options you will notice Rainbow took out a lot of the guessing game for you. It's so nice to be able to 'Undo' all the way back to the start of a project as well. I can see a lot of poor quality tracks being produced with this as well.

Geez Twist, look at all the billions of dollars you've cost our government by over-shooting expensive planes into the waters.  ;D

What an awesome setup there Mike! I can just see the wife strolling in to watch an episode of Dr. Phil and you have MCM2 cranked on that thing! Oh man, what an experience.   ;D

More importantly, you have a warm and comfortable looking room.

Well King, you got me inspired for sure. I headed to Target and saw the Samsung 940 MW that the xBox 360 Kiosks are sporting and that looked killer. I wanted to head to Best Buy though to check out the Westinghouse model, and that one looks better in person. I'm sorry though, I saw the Samsung 23" LN-R238W model the xBox 360 was sporting there, and that blew my mind.

Looks like I'll be picking up one of those shortly. Best Buy retails them for 899.00, but I've found them online for as low as 645.00. If anyone is interested in this model.. www.Butterflyphoto.com is selling them with a ZERO dead pixel return, which is great!

Anyhow, justthought I'd share.

Hey King,

What kind of specs does this LCD monitor have? Any ghosting or jitters? I see one coming my way soon! haha!

i have 40 acres.... and the dsl line is sitting at the end of my driveway... but stupid qwest won't extend the line 50' to my house

Looks like you need to go build a shack by the road big enough for a computer and a mini fridge so you can reep those DSL needs.  ;D

Quote from: VMX_Burn on December 09, 2005, 02:13:56 AMdon't like the idea of pay-per-play. I feel that if people really want to help out they will donate. I am willing to be generous.

Exactly what I was thinking. This community is very close niche compared to say, Quake or UnReal. With that I'd say comes a better crowd. I would almost cry if I saw Central come back to life. Why? Because it's been around since the beginning days and still operated by the same familiar faces. My money will feel comfortable spent there. Aside from the few screw off's this community has encountered, I'd say you all are OK in my books.  :D

So how about this PayPal account idea? Yay or Nay?

This is definately a great post... I find it even better that old names are coming out of the wood work. I remember all of you from MCM1, but maybe we should bring back that post of what our names were back in the MCM1 days because I'm sure you old folks will be making a stand again.

All this talk about a new game with the same familiar faces just makes me want to wet myself.

I have a suggestion I'm not sure was presented yet. Since we have some time before the release and there is talks of Central coming back up... how about we start a PayPal account for 'MXUCentral'. That way we can start a fund and have some monopoly money for kicking site?
I got a 50 spot if someone wants to setup a account and manage it.

General Discussion MCM 2 / Re: Windows XP 64-bit
October 08, 2005, 11:22:53 AM
Thanks Bruce,

I was reading the Hard Copy site where they did an 8 game test running x64, to find that the only game compatiable with x64, Chronicles of Riddick, actually ran slower in x64 bit.

Go figure, huh?

Awesome news! Great job guys! I hope your future with Rainbow is an unforgetable one. May the tracks be plentiful and flow like wine now.  ;D
