ok when i place an object in D2  the only camera veiw i can use is the look down from above view.
the rotate look up and down dont work, which makes it near impossible to gauge hight of object from the ground.
all the camera anles work until i place an object, then its stuck in the place object view. (happens on all objects stock or otherwise).

Laurie help me please  lol.

hmm placing objects is a 2 part process. I use top down View because its easier to CalC  X/Z posn in 3D from the 2D mouse posn, then if you unlatch the 'place object' button  you should have full camera movement again to orient the object. if not then I'm not sure why not but changing to another tab might correct it.

I'll check it out just as soon as I can get some time to work on d2  again

how do u get the haybales and stuff, to slant with the track and not just be straight and flat, but to flow with the elevation changes on the track ?

DBR_Dodgy

select your object check and un-check the X Y Z  axis for which ever direction you want to move/rotate it then click "rotate"  and hold the left mouse button down and drag.
