Okay so no matter how hard I have been trying and after going through so many tutorial videos on YouTube I am still yet to be able to download custom tracks. It would be ideal if someone could actually get on a call with me and guide me through it. This would be very helpful and I would really appreciate if someone could do this for me. if you are willing to help me out by calling me just message me on Skype to notify me that you are willing to help. My Skype username is sniperzelite545. Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Is your game still crashing when you run it? (sorry don't have the time to Skype)

Installing is just the process of removing the tracks from the zip or rar file and copying the 4 track files (*.scene, *.level, *.database, *.package) into your \Database folder - so i'm assuming you aren't having problems with that.

So i am going to assume the problem starts when you either try to start the game or you try to load a custom track.

Can you explain step by step, what you do and step by step what happens on screen, any error messages just before the point that the problem starts? ..and we'll take it from there..

...it's like Skype messaging just a little slower and everyone can see the problem, maybe help and benefit from any fixes you might find.. :)

okay so the first step i do is download the track i want and wait for it in the corner of my browser to download. i have winrar but this is where i think the problem occours as the track i downloaded dosnt open in winrar but in a normal folder. i try moving the files to the reflex database folder anyways but it dosnt work. i try to open the game and it just crashes. the main problem is my file dosnt open in winrar but as a norml folder.

Fixer

drag the downloaded  *.zip file to the desktop ( from the browser's 'download list), right click the *.zip file and choose open with winrar,
unzip the files to the desktop, then copy or move them to the reflex folder.

You shouldn't have to use winrar with zip files but you can

HenryBoy21

i dont have the option 'open with winrar' ?

Fixer

start winrar program, choose 'file' then 'open archive' and navigate to the desktop (where you already dragged the downloaded file from the browser download list),
select the file and open it. If you want you can drag the files out to the desktop then copy or move them to the reflex \Database folder

or choose the 'extract to' button in winrar and point it to your   reflex \Database folder

if it's a zip file then you don't need winrar- just click it and windows will open it, if it's a rar file then you need winrar

HenryBoy21

okay so i tried moving the files (not rar files) into the reflex database and then opened my game to check if i had the beta slots in freeride. i checked arcade freeride and moto career freeride and neither of them had the beta slots in them? what do i do :(

Fixer

I don't play the game  but someone will be along to help.

i just really want to be able to play custom tracks and have been wanting to for quite a while now :(

Since you are asking about the beta slots, does this mean that you now have the custom track files in the \Database folder and you can open the game without it crashing?

You need to install the beta slot files before you see them in the game, so that will be another zip file download and you will have to install the beta slot files in the same way that you did for the custom track files.

Here is a link to the beta slot files:

- this is for the Freeride slots:
Freeride beta slots

- this will add SX and National beta slots:
SX and National beta slots

Close the game before you install the files then use the same process with these files, like fixer explained:

Quotedrag the downloaded  *.zip file to the desktop ( from the browser's 'download list), right click the *.zip file and choose open with winrar,
unzip the files to the desktop, then copy or move them to the reflex folder.

start winrar program, choose 'file' then 'open archive' and navigate to the desktop (where you already dragged the downloaded file from the browser download list),
select the file and open it. If you want you can drag the files out to the desktop then copy or move them to the reflex \Database folder.

Let us know how it goes..

If this works then you might also want to add the LeaderBoard files into the games root folder so that you can race the beta tracks online from the 1st post on this page http://twisteddirt.com/smf/index.php/topic,4543.0.html

HenryBoy21

I have installed the beta slots but they weren't WinRar files. I moved them into the reflex database folder anyways to see if it would work but I didn't.

Fixer

You can use winrar or windows

in windows just click on the file MXTables_DLC008.zip and open it, when you see the database and package files inside, either drag them to your desktop and copy or move to the reflex database folder.

do the same with the MXTables_DLC008a.zip

Wel i hope the silence means he is now busy playing custom tracks.. :)
