Hello !!

I present you a track which I have create. He(it) is not totally finished.
Already I have a small problem for the investment(placement) of objects (it does not take place or I them pause in the track edior).

Then, me does not include why the texture of the plan of beige color is brilliant can you say to me how deleted this shine?

Finally if you have advice to improve the track hesitate not.

Ps: the problem of green screen is solved with the new version of track editor. Congratulation to the creators of the software.

Hi Psou,

The shine is caused by the "RGB Mask".  The "Alpha Channel" of this image is what controls the shine.

White = shine, or "wet" look
Black = Matte (No shine) or "dry" look.

I notice something very strange happening on this track with regards to the ruts that are formed in the bump map by the tyres.  Some points on the track, the ruts would appear to the left of the bike, other times I would see them appear in front of me., and other times, not at all... Has anybody else had this?

Mhh where is the " alpha channel " ?? who modify this canal ?

And for the bug ruts , me too i have this , i don't know why the ruts appears.

Well I don't know which paint program you are using to make your displacement map, but there are tutorials on youtube, search "alpha channel" + "the name of your paint program". Hopefully that will give you the answer.

The ruts problem is really bizarre.  Seems like there is someting going on with the editor compiling the track files.  My friend has made tracks on the new version, and he had the same green screen problem as you, but the ruts on his track are fine.  Laurie (mcm2boys) might know what is going on here. Maybe it's another issue with different language set ups, in particular, french...? :-\

i use photoshp , and i not see my problem canal alpha on this photoshop ?!!  this problem is not on the track editor ??

ahhh yes , for create a new "calque" i click here !!!

where clik for creat a "calque" not shine on track ?

When you create this new Alpha Channel, make sure it is Black.
Save the image.
Import into the editor again.
Save as compiler file.
Save as beta test track.
Play! :P

second question : where is the tree object on the track editor ?

look through track objects, there is very few trees that are usable. the way reflex places the trees in the game is it places them all at once for each track. theres not that many usable trees

OK thank you, I also noticed that objects do not appear or I them is placed!!!

It are always moved 5 / 6 mètres to put more low!! It is can be one bad move from my part! Of what think of it you?

hmm, i've never seen the rut issue before, it might be connected to the objects that aren't loading. Jamie has tested a lot of the objects and we know there are some that don't work properly. They do take a while to load so please be patient when adding objects and don't try to click more out before the last one has loaded..

I am still looking at problems in the object library..
