This shows to be available on steam for PC  http://www.2xlgames.com/#2xl-supercross-pc-1e88b7

I didnt know Robb and the boys had anything MX coming to PC...

DirtTwister

It's sort of like an updated MCM 2 supercross only.  I got it April 2010.  I don't think you can get it anymore.

Bulldog

Nope, it doesn't show up on steam anymore.  I also sent an email to 2XL about it and they never replied.

Wow am I behind the times, LOL, it did look like MCM, stiff rider and bike, LOL.

I am just not sure if THQ/Rainbow will make what we are looking for (or me maybe) I am hoping that 2XL will come up with something a little more modable.

Guys,

If any of you have an Ipad or Iphone, this game is now a game for those devices.. i guess they dumped it for PC...

Its really a pain to play on the phone using the phone as a steering device sucks..

Ryann,

DirtTwister

It actually came out on the iPod/iPhone first.  I think it was an experiment to translate it to a PC.  There must be some cost involved with putting it on Steam that is greater then the return they get. Otherwise I don't know why you would pull it.

Last I looked at 2XL's web site they were advertising a new motocross game.  Ricky Carmichael Motocross, or something like that.  But I'm pretty sure it was a console only only game.

Bulldog, that currently is released for ipod/ipad aswell.. its called "Ricky Carmicheals Motocross Matchup", it is VERY similiar to the other game, but it seems better tracks and few different perks in it.. its based more about racing online people which is good, the odd thing is, the more you play online the more gas you use, and you need to purchase gas to race... lol so its continual cost.

either way the game seemed as uneventful as 2xl supercross to me.

I just watched a youtube video on the Ricky Carmichael's Motocross Matchup.  I'm not impressed.

Fixer

yeah, I just downloaded it from itune's- it's a free download - I guess you pay later if you do the online matchups, it's like their other Ipod game, too bad I can't play these games with the limited control and small screen... :P

Whatever happened to "fim motocross world championship video game by black bean games" ???

I just sent an email to Black Bean (publisher) and Milestone (developer) and asked if it was still in development.  Where did you hear it will be debuting at a show?

Bulldog

Wow....quick reply from Black Bean Games.

QuoteHi Pete,

Yes the game is still in development at the moment.

Best,

Davide

Bulldog

I went ahead and replied to Daivde's email and asked about a release date.  To no surprise, he cannot say anything about that.

QuoteWe are still working on it.

I'm sorry I cannot speak about it but It will be announced soon.

I'm sure they will be evaluating the feedback everyone has been giving on Alive to see if there is anything they should be tweaking in their game.

I wouldn't hold my breath...  :o

Black Bean really screwed up a few bike games lately!  All though they look great, drying track and all, just never really worked!  I really enjoy SBK and Moto GP.

Anyway; there is always HOPE  ::)

You know Bruce if I learned one thing lately about game developers; they don't use Logic...although you would think.

So help me understand... what's the buzz on Alive; I'm betting it's not good!

The buzz is all over the place with a lot of haters.   I tend to ignore what people are saying.  The THQ forums are useless because there is so many haters.

I like it, but it has a lot of issues.  There are several tracks that I just love.  I like that you can bump a little bit online without falling.  I enjoy private games, but I don't know very many people that like to play in private rooms with just a few players.   I like the SX tracks but they have the tuff blocks sliding all over the place.

I would enjoy playing once or twice a week with a few friends.  Right now I pretty much have only played with a few people in a private game and have had to wander into the chaos of the public rooms.  There I don't have much fun.

I think they should either charge less for their DLC or package more into them.
