Controller Mappings

Does anyone know why I can't change my controller mapping?  I want my clutch to be left bumper and trick modifier on the right bumper. Whenever I go to the controller mapping menu it won't let me change anything.  I am new to using steam so I am unsure if this has to be done outside of the game or if it isn't possible.

It's a quirk with reflex and it's a catch 22.  If you want to set a button it needs to not have anything set to it.  So if you want your clutch to be the left button, you need to assign the key that is currently on clutch to some other function.  Then the clutch will be open and you can then set it to the button you want.  Annoying, I know.   I need to come up with a simple way to describe it, because I don't know if I always explain it correctly.

thats exactly how i run my controls
with clutch on LB button (360 controller)
that way you can fan the cluth whilst on the gas.

Yeah I know.  I do not have any idea why someone would run the clutch on the right bumper.  The clutch is really on the left of a bike and it is just so much easier to access on the controller with it on the left.
