Lately there have been lots of changes with tracks/ skins.( HD tileing, 3d modeling) but making tricks has been in a stand still for a very long time. i would really love to see a new siktrix because i love making tricks for this game but our current editor is holding me back from creating tricks i want to make.

THINGS I LIKE TO SEE FIXED

1. fork seperation

2. be allowed to make bike movement on ALL tricks

3. be able to edit ALL tricks

4.fix the bug so it can stop the bike shaking everytime i save a trick

5. allow unlimited amount of body movent (stop the glitching in body varials)

6. make it easier to delete a trick
HELP US TRICK MAKERS OUT PLEASE!

I'm happy to hear that you use the trick editor and i know there are a few improvments that need looking at so let me walk through your fixes 1 by 1

1. Fork separation, this is because i don't know how RBW actually apply the animations to the models. I use what i believe is the usual way, but when the trick is played in the game the forks separate on tricks where the handle bars are turned. I did take a look at his a while bakc but couldn't work out a fix.

2 and 3. I only allowed editing of the stock tricks in the form that they are because i am worried it could be used for cheating. This comes from the MCM2 days when tricks were scored by the number of frames in the trick, and it would therefore be possible to cheat in FMX events with custom tricks. So unless everyone in the FMX community can convince me it's ok let us change all the tricks we don't mind the cheats - then that won't change. - if you know what you're doing with multi-ex you can change what you like anyway...

4 and 5. I haven't heard of this before can you give more details..

6. you mean reset a trick to stock or remove a trick completely?

Finally, i have a lot of other projects on at the moment and real life is getting busy for me right now, so this will go at the end of a long list and so will probably take quite a few months..

thanks so much for replying. i guess im part of the fmx community also, our contest are based on relistic riding, like we record our runs and theyre judged. fmx high score is dead now  ;D . as for the shaking in bike movements, it doesnt happend to everyone but it happends to a few people i know. heres and example.

before

after

it happends everytime i save it and try it in game.

and the body varial bug
before

after

and as in deleting the trick, just reseting to stock. i know how to do it but its alot of work just to put back to stock. im not askin for a button saying remove this trick, but maybe something little simpler.  ;)

glad ur taking appreciation for help and i would understand if its hard to find time to do this.

The delete (reset to stock) should be easy enough to do.

I'm guessing that the 'shaking bike' problem is when you reload the trick into SikTrix, does it also shake when you execute the trick in the game?

The body varials problem i'm afraid i still don't get. It seems like this is also something that shows in the editor, does the glitch also happen in game? When you show me before/after is that before and after saving the trick? or actually saving amd then re-loading the trick?

I am also a little confused by what you mean by unlimited amount of body movement, since the rider in the before is doing a full rotation and there are no glitches, perhaps you can explain the steps to getting full rotation in the before with no glitch and what's different in the after..

Perhaps i need to explain that because of the maths involved in tweening it's not possible to tween between large rotations of a body part, so i would suggest making 4 poses through the whole animation with a 1/4 turn  at each pose and then tween between them to get the full rotation.. if that's what you're doing then i guess i need to take another look..

I'm always happy to listen to suggestions from you guys, my problem is that i just don't have time to add all the things i want to..  :)

alright now got all that cleared up ;D . next time kyle loza does some weird body varial ill try what u said.

as for the bike shaking yes its when i either reload the trick or try it out in game it makes it really shaky. hope u know if theres a way to fix it cause i want to start a underflip or a todd potter whip :)

Can you mail me the tricks with the shakes, and if possible without the shakes (not sure if you can send me one with out shakes since you will have to save it first -  which might add shakes) but if you can that should help see what's going on..

Does the bike shaking only happen on tricks with bike movement?

If some of what i said before isn't clear, sorry, just ask and i can explain more, sometimes i try to explain things too quickly..

i can mail the ones with the shake but i cant do it without shakes. it shakes ALOT on bike movement but without the bike it does only a little.

add me on msn ( ltrohan@sbcglobal.net )

im gunna jump in on the siktrix unlimited frame thing
as quadrider said we all judge fmx by videoing a fmx run on a user track then start a poll for scores

and i play mva only for the fmx and i feel unlocking the frame limit would be awsome and alow for some killer tricks to be made

thanks

I hear what you're saying and you're much closer to the FMX scene than I am, but I still need convincing that this isn't going to get abused by someone.

I'm thinking that a possible option is to be able to create new tricks with a Max frame count of the longest stock trick.

In MCM2 the score was linked to the number of frames, but as the frame count increased the score would increase more, so very quickly you get very big scores. Can you explain, how the scoring system works in MvA and how it relates to the trick length?

Felt I should chime in, online freestyle is no more.
What it is, is an organized event where the competitors post a 1 minute (or whatever length) youtube video of their run.
The person who made the contest assigns judges (usually 3-5), these judges score on creativity, flow, course use, difficulty, and realism.

Also, everyone has the pak where you can't see your stunt score anyways.

All in all, abuse is not even a possibility

i'm thinking the best solution is to have a button to create a new trick animation, with up to the max. stock frames + a bike animation up to the Max. stock frames, and have these options selectable before the trick file is created. Either way it's going to be a while before i can start on any mods..
