its hard aint it BMX   to make a track hard when ur a keys racer urself.   i have tried so many times   getting closer though.
I don't see why people take the challange away from the game with racing a pad or joystick...  Race with keys and the game will open up a lot more to you guys... makes it harder and more interesting...  also when u get a track down its a great feeling.

a few years ago Kazam told me he was racing on keys....after he whooped my  A$$   and to be honest i didnt believe him  ::)
but i heard there was quite a few peeps that did race on keys and i tried it myself, ofline ofcoures lol
and it was like i was playing pinball hehehe i was bouncing off bales so much.

have you guys ever played with pads or sticks or have ya just always been on keys.

and how the hell do ya pre-load with keys ? ?

I used to play with keys for about 10-11 months, And I found it hard but couldn't be bothered to go out and get a pad. As soon as I got one, I took to it so easily.
For me, a gamepad is oh so much better then anything else, but that is just preference. Bo is really damn fast with keys, and can woop most peoples a$$es. I'm not really fast with anything, but I hardly play so I dont really mind.

BTW, you cant preload with keys, not to my knowledge anyway..

The hint with keys is to find good lines and be smooth. Once your going down it will be hard catching up again, it usually doesn't take more then getting an un-clean landing and then that lap is done since you have pretty much nothing to compensate with (preload for example).

The way to get air is to be in the correct position in front of the jump (depends on the shape of the jump usually) and then whip it smoothly. Personally I still haven't found a single track where it was impossible to make the jump with keys even though it has taken some trying to make it.

Hardest with keys is definitely the cornering since you either turn or not. There is no 40% half-assed turning so to say. Once you get the hang of that it is easy though.

All in all I think the need of preload and smooth turning is over-advertised even though you can push a little bit more on the lap times with a stick. But it's a game so who really care about lap times in the long run? :)


That's my opinion about using a keyboard.

Exactly. People have been whining ever since the game came out about how you can preload to much. But yet they play it with a pad or whatever and jump whole sections. I'm fine with keys. I can jump about everything unless its one of those stupid pinit-wfo-preload or you die tracks. But people still bitch about preloading to much ::) Whatever.
