I just got the game yesterday.  I played a little yesterday and today, and the menus in this game suck.  They all look the same, and I always have to hunt for what I want.  Granted more time will help, but It's still a mess.

Is there any way to have 2 different setups for controls?  I created a 2nd profile for my son, but the controls are mapped the same for me and him.  If I change his, then mine change also.

My other issue is the sound.  I can hear all the different sounds, but the engine sounds are really quiet, and then sometimes they will be louder.  But the bike always sounds like 8 different bikes even when I'm the only one.

These things are so frustrating, because the game engine is pretty cool, but it just seems like I have to spend 5 minutes in the menus just to free ride on a track.

yea i notice that it does sound like theres a lot of bikes around.  I keep lookin at the map to see whos behind me when theres no one around lol

The controls and video settings are saved in the Windows registry and have nothing to do with the profiles :(

I agree with you, the menus suck bigtime and it ruins the game for me along with all the missing options we had in MCM2. It's one of those games once you play for awhile (week or so) you cant even be bothered going back in because it's to much of a effort, annoying and gets really frustrating after awhile. It's gotta be some of the worst designed menu's I've ever seen for any game.

Another thing I forgot.  No support for wide screen resolutions???????  That's another step backward.

anyone haveing problems with sound? lag when playing with more then 2 riders, even just computer riders? my sound cuts out, go's bonkers ::) i was playing on the gamespy with some peeps and was getting lagged so bad i had to quit. I really think this game at this point in time is a step backwards in many ways...

I'll be honest and say that I've allready lost interest in the game because of the very poor multiplayer interface and all the left out options we had in MCM2 :( A lot of people are feeling the same way that I've been racing with and talking to on TS or Vent.

The whole reason why I loved MCM2 so much was because of tournaments in the zone, that was a good feeling before racing a main and was half the excitement for me even before the race started.

Well.. I've not run much on line.  But I can say the menus are a "Pain in the Rear   cause unless I'm missing something... I can not even single race and change tracks.  when I try to switch activity... th menu will not respond.  Also, no ghost racing on user tracks which is great for testing tracks.

I agree the menu is lame... and all them darn "Are you sure you want to do" Save, Quit, etc...'s!

Well, I feel kinda bad for starting a thread full of rants, but here's another one who's brigt idea was it to not have pics in the game of user created tracks??????????? >:(  In freeride I don't know what the tracks like.  How am I supposed to keep track of 20 different user created tracks, between nats, sx, and freestyle??????

I do like the physics of the game quite a bit though.  This only adds to the frustration!!!!!!

Does any one know if any of the issues we have mentioned are being addressed in the patch??  es??  Is there really a patch/update being worked on?

Should I make a list for THQ/Rainbow and give it to them?

Sounds like you need to upgrade to Windows Service Pack 2, that should fix your problem.  BTW, any chance on some Kip Rekreations?
