seeing the pics of elasto gave me a flashback to an old (i think commodore 64?) game called kickstart, anyone remember that? that was fun back then hehe.

And yes I liked MTX too, I just reinstalled it couple days ago to get a feel for 2 wheels again in preperation for MvA.

if a editor is available for this game, i will get it for a "souvenir" of this game, later that editor will be not available and the editor of a old old old game will be valured by alot of $$$$. lol, i dont know if that will happen later but thats my prediction.

I remember that elasto mania game from back in the days of mcm1.  I had a bunch of fun on it.  It has wild fun physics.  There is a more modern game a lot like it.  It's a trials riding game.  I tried the demos, and they were a lot of fun, but I never bought it.

I had an intellivision Bruce, but I never had any motorcycle games for it.

I've got that game on one of those "plug into your TV game thing" from walmart.  It's so addicting.

LOL...I've had one of every system available since Atari first came out with PONG! lol However Bruce I don't recall any moto games. I did however LOVE the skiing game and the one that was like Asteroids-meets-Space Invaders (can't recall the names anymore). I also recall having had a lot of fun on the soccer and baseball games on Intellivision.

Intellivision: Intelligent Television...lol that's become a joke by today's standards!

I really miss some of those older systems. Especially the Atari 1600XL and the Commodore 64. Anyone else remember the game mags with the game code in them that you had to spend hours and hours plugging in so you could play games like chopper pilot and dig-dug?

I had the original Atari 400 and 800 as well...which were like a precursor to the Intel PC (the first home pc). In fact...a friend of my brother's got busted by the FBI for using an Atari 800 to hack into AT&T's database WAY back when! The outcome of that was that he got hired by AT&T to design their security systems. He still works there today!

I also spent many a drunk/stoned night at my cousin's house playing ZORK on Commodore 64. For those who don't know...the original ZORK was a text-only puzzle game that was SO fun. It was almost like playing Dungeons and Dragons in the aspect that you were described the lay of the land and the problems you had to solve and you had to be creative in your solutions. Man...that was some good fun!

I believe that ZORK progressed to semi-modern pc's with a visual game that was much like MYST. I recall playing ZORK: Nemesis about 10 years ago and it was still just as fun as the original ZORK. If you guys happen to run across any of their games I recommend trying them if you like puzzle solving games at all.

My first computer was an Atari 800.  $747.00 with 24k of ram and casette player.  First upgrade $444.00 for a 90k floppy drive.  Memory $200.00 per 16k.

If you want to play Zork.  Infocomm has it available for free.

My first computer was a Atari 800XL with cassette and 5-1/4" floppy drive.  Don't remember the cost because I didn't purchase it.  ;D

It's not an exciting game, but these kind of games are fun.  We really don't have anything like it now.  It's a problem solving game and you have to use your mind to visualize your surroundings.  Good visualization is a big help in solving the puzzles.  It's sort of like reading a book but you have to do certain things successfully to move on to the next chapter.  It also may or may not matter what order you do something in.

I personally think these kinds of games went downhill when you stopped having to type in the questions and commands.

Let's see what you think about when you have played more than one all the way through.

I can't remember the name of the game, but the most difficult one I played had you starting out in a room in a space station naked with just a bandana.   If you held your breath you could walk outside the room but there wasn't any air and you would die before you got to the next door.

It took 4 people playing for about two weeks to get past that obstacle.

I remember playing all the "Zork" games on my Atari 800XL.  Those were pretty good text based "use your imagination" games.  I spent a lot of hours playing them.
