2 Words... HIGH DEFINITION

Also it's fairly dark...if those are screen shots from in-game then I would suggest that you do 2 things. First set the ambient color to 120,120,120 or 150,150,150...it's inside and the track should be very well lit. Second...in PS CS2 open the texture and go to Brightness/Contrast and set brightness and contrast both to +20. You need more contrast in the on-track textures and brightening them will help make the variations in your dirt (and ruts) show up better.

Try that and see if you don't like it better. As for the HI-Def suggestion...currently Dillo Too isn't supporting Hi-Def tracks...so you'd either have to do it without D2 for now or wait. Depends on how soon you were hoping to release. I'm sure that Laurie will be working on fixing the problem as soon as he gets time. But right now he's working full-time and trying to buy a new house. So it may take a little while.

I have used D2 on a high def track before.  I think it might just be a problem with the latest release.  So there is always that possibility.

cR

The blurring won't be fixed by making it HiDef... if I look good it allready has a small grid... probably some wrong bit rate or something if you ask me...

ATR_RaTaX2

high def will make the texs less blurry imo, much mre detail allowed, so more variation within the textures if you take your time. The textures will look better in game than in them dillo pics as the grain isnt added in dillo ;)

ElDiablo (Paul)

Ummm...yes it is..go to OPTIONS and click DOUBLE PASS  ;)

However, the shots will always be cleaner from in-game.

assuming you he is on single pass :P

ElDiablo (Paul)

Dillo Too defaults to single pass...if you haven't checked Double Pass then you won't see the overlays in Dillo Too...if you HAVE checked Double Pass then you will...simple! :o

ElDiablo, got time to make me a mgm stadium?

and how is best way to save textures?

ElDiablo (Paul)

I'm no good with Stadiums...they take me months to build and then I never get the UVW's perfect (look at my St. Louis 2004 and 2005 reps for the stadium seating and you'll see what I mean). I once tried to model the MCM Grand Garden Arena and wound up giving up in the end. Bottom line is I am not a good enough artist with making people and seating area textures. I can do empty seats just fine.

But I'd have to say that M/M is probably the guy to ask about this. Go to MCMFactory and and I think in their forums in the OBJECTS area he's still got an Objects Request thread. That'd be my best advice....plus he's just a LOT better than I am at making stadiums, without a doubt!

Can you post or send me a few pics of the stadium? Depending on how involved it is, I might like to give the stadium a shot.

ElDiablo (Paul)

If you look on Google you'll find that there is actually a virtual 3D tour of the stadium. It might be on the MCM Grand Garden website...can't remember for sure. Plus...there should be TONS of pics available from the USSX.com website I'm sure.

yo mx45, hit me up on msn big_native1@msn.com. and could you get it to fit a 1.5 grid

and paul can you make me the finish line gate, pic on front page of www.ussx.com

ElDiablo (Paul)

How's this? -

http://vmx-racing.com/vmx/eldiablo/USSXGate.zip

Only thing is...I converted my hi-poly THQ replica gate...so it's REAL hi-poly...that's actually a MESH...and not skin tricks. It's built with boxes...the total poly count is 4222 I believe and I've found NO lag in-game with it. Check it out and see how you like it. I've included the pic posted here as well as the MAX scene so that it can easily be resized. Hope it works for ya!
