If your system can maintain FPS at your monitors refresh rate setting with vsync on MCM2 will play smoother and not jump the FPS up and down like with vysnc off.

I'd rather have my FPS to be at a constant 85 FPS then jumping around from 100 to 170 etc which causes lag and the actual game physics to change during game play.

I'm not sure if you guys know this, but having over 100 FPS in MCM2 riding around very tight berms like on my US OPEN 01 and Twisted SX Night etc causes the bike to slow down a lot. On bigger tracks or flat tight corners it doesn't seem to affect the bike at all, I found this out years ago when I built my new PC and testing MCM2 on US OPEN SX 01 before a tourney.

Also by limiting your FPS at your monitors refresh rate setting with a pretty fast CPU will actually leave a lot more CPU power for other things while running the game and also run cooler aswell because it's not using 100% of it's power.

On Twisted SX Night with everything on at 1260x960 my Athlon 64 3500+ runs at around 250 FPS, think about how much power is in reserve when it's running at a constant 85 FPS and is a lot smoother then the 250 FPS with vsync off, some games this can be the other way around. This is with a GF4 Ti4400 aswell the only thing I haven't changed yet from my older pc.
