Thats dumb.  They bought the game legally.  Thats like painting a new car you bought.  It's yours and you can do what you want to it.

Unfortunately that's not how software licensing works.  They still own it....they are just letting you use it for a fee...with all of their restrictions...whatever they may be.

I truely believe TECMO doesn't have a leg to stand on.  The problem usually is that when a large company sues, people cave in rather than fight, even though they may be right.

I consider what the sued individuals were doing would be similar to telling someone how to color pages in a book and providing overlays to put in your book so that you could tailor it to your liking, for your personal use.  It is not the copying and selling of a book or anything like that.
