Game crashing problem

The problem is, since I moved the WINRAR files into my Mx vs Atv reflex data base folder, the game decided it wants to crash every time I open it. it comes up with a message like 'The Application has encountered an error and has closed. Please check if your hardware is sufficient to run this application' then my desktop and icons seem to enlarge and go more pixelated than usual. Steams help page just tells me to verify the game integrity and I have been waiting for my game to do that for about 4 hours now. its almost done. will this work? I would really appreciate a response. thanks
