Rider Positioning in custom tracks?

Hey guy's my apologize if this topic has already been made. I was wondering if it is possible to position your rider anywhere on the map when you create a custom track? For example I'm making a SX track and when I load it in game it starts me in the middle of my track. I would like to make it so my rider is at the start gate when I load the track. Is this possible to do in the track editor?

In de, Press on the object tab and then use q,w,e,asdzx keys to manover to the start gate. Line it up  as if you where the rider pointing in the direction you want to go. Now in the bottom left there is ac little chequered flag. Press it and then save your track. This will now be the start position
