Ok well to start i have sucessfully made a mutli tiled track before just never released ;)
but now my problems with my Houston replica. The setup i have is 2 tiles your ride on at scale 2, now i can sucessfully replace the tiles all around the track and that is 4 tiles that im switching out for a blank disp. with a concrete texture, because thats all that i dont want shown when i put a stadium around it. so i go through the tileing process and all but when i go to try it out in game it crashes. i can export it straight from RBW editer and it not crash in game....    any ideas people?

I dont know if this is your problem or not but you need be carefull with how many times you re-open your tiles on UEtoo.
I dont remenber very well but i think you just can re-open tiles 6 or 7 times , after you re-open 6 or 7 tiles the pak will crash on mxatv.

What you need do is open UEtoo and load all tiles again as a new track (new project).

wilsonatv

nope it doesnt work still, it crashes.
i only replaced 1 tile and i tryed what you said about making a new project.

I forgot say , dont use the button " Create a new track "  , use the button " Open a track file " , after this try open open your tiles or just 1 or 2.
Is better save the pak without spaces.
Try save the pak without objects just to see what hapen.

It sounds like you are tying to replace a total of 6 tiles???  2 for your track then 4 for the surrounding tiles?

A few points - you need to "replace" individual tiles once you have imported them.  If you have not done this, what JPR is describing will happen.  You can open tiles unlimited times if you answer no to the replacing question.

If you just want a concrete texture, you can apply it to the blank "stock" tiles rather then importing a whole tile.  I mean is there any particular reason you need 4 different tiles with concrete textures, or would just applying the texture to the remaining 23 tiles be enough??

It definately sounds to me like you are running against the 6 tile limit and that's what is screwin ya up.

As far as starting from a new file, there's really no good reason to have to do that, but if you do I'd suggest starting a blank file in RBW then working from that in UE2.

ok well everything works now, i got only 1 tile imported and it works in game.only because i deleted the stadium around it for some reason. thanks everyone.

hey guys i need some more help. The thing is that i cant place the stadium and import a tile without it crashing ingame.please help.

if you send or link me to the crashing pak i'll take a look..

Nikhil

Place the stadium in the rbw editor, and export that as a pak.

Now use UE2 to make a pak with just the disp.

Extract the pak with multiex and grab the trn file out of it. Now just replace the trn in the rbw pak, and it should work fine.

OK thnx got it..

The problem is caused by UE2 having problems with the Jumbotron textures which need special treatment. Thanks for letting me see it, i have fixed UE2 to handle it properly now, so the next version should fix your problem. Until then i guess Nikhil's workaround is your best bet ..
