Soooooo.......
I found a few hundred tracks on an old CD and have been running laps!

I forgot about the weird sideways "ice" like sliding when you go flying off the track on a slope and you still stay on two wheels... if you remember that - BUTT....

The user made tracks from back in the day are very inspirational!  ;D

Where are these 2,127 nats and 1180 sx's?

There's only the links for 1008 nats and 160 sx tracks.

I got that via email from another member w/ links to his FTP stash...

IDK if he wants to open the floodgates - so we have to wait & see if he replies w/ links.

VMX_Gravity

I think he should. Don't keep stuff like that to yourself. I have tracks I want to find!

:o Someone made that Jay Leno track that RC & MC raced on in 2001! haha wow... I never even knew that existed...  Unfortunately though, I couldn't download it.  I got this message...

/Library/WebServer/FTPFiles/tracks/mcm2/national/-2000-.zip
File Not Found

I tried a bunch of other random tracks, and they seem to be ok to download.

Thanks for sharing these Bruce.

Edit:

Ok, I am literally freaking the f*ck out right now!!!  You have my first track I ever made at the tender age of 13!  ;D  Also I see a ton of tracks that the guys I used to race with from the UK, made.  Is this the complete collection of MCM2 Central's library that Kam was selling on DVDs when it got shut down?  Is it possible that you have a collection of skins as well?  There are a couple of Bike & Rider sets that I used to run, as they were my team's kit.  I would love to have those for nostalgia purposes!

Thank you soooo much!  :-*

Edit2:
:'( Awwwww... my track file is corrupted.....*sniff*.... Oh well, the excitment was good while it lasted.....  :(

It's the combination of the tracks I had, Cam, and Fixer.   I wrote a program that extracts the track name and image out of the ENV file and creates records to insert into a database.

I found and fixed the Jay Leno track.

Which track did you download that was corrupt?

I need to look and see if I have any skins.

Hmmm, it seems that I can't extract any of these tracks...

!   C:\Users\Jamie\Documents\MCM2 TRACKS\-2000-.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

That's what I get from WinRAR...
I tried a bunch of tracks, and none of them seem to extract.

My track was called BYR Supercross Week 1, but I guess that there is a problem with all of these tracks?

The skins I was looking for, were called 'BYR...something' and 'FoxUK...something'.  Any bike or rider skins with those prefixes in the title are probably the ones I'm after.

Thanks

I screwed up.  I turned on a display to verify some info, but when I switched it back to downloading the file I didn't remove it.  The zip file then had data before it that made it corrupt.

I fixed it.  I verified that I could download and unzip.

Sorry,
Bruce

Thanks Bruce :) All is good now!  I forgot how god-awful my first track was!  ::)  Definitely brings back memories when I'm looking through your collection.

Cheers

I've still got another 800 or so MCM 2 nationals to process and a few hundred SX's.   I probably should put it a link to it from my site and the TD site.  I keep waiting until I'm done and then I back burner it for several months.

Is there anyway we can run MCM2 online again?
Me & AMA_Whymee tried a few options, but routers seemed to be a problem.

you can run at x-fire and Gameranger.... Gameranger seems to have the least problems with routers.
