I don't know if you guys have seen this but here's a link to the PC demo that just came out.
The game hits the shelfs the 8th I think.
I know it's not bikes but what's a PC gamer to do?

BTW I think it's awesome, looks great, plays great, balances fun and realism.

Give it a try and give a shout back!

PS I use the "Big Downloads"  site link it's really fast-  for me and did I mention it has Travis Pastrana?

Hey Bob, I'm loving this game... been playing on the 360 and it's great.  If the PC version is the same, should be fantastic.  You need a wheel to really enjoy it.  I have the new Fanatec Turbo S wheel with club sport pedal... ion the 360 its a dream setup.

Here is a small shot of my pedals:

Here is my Sim rig... I know its to much, but I'm the only Kid at home now!

BTW, I use a 37" single LCD monitor, not the triple setup shown.

Hi Randall ! :)

Long time... Yeah my friend played it on xbox and wanted to ck it out on PC, he needs a new video card so he tried it here. Said it's the same, so now he's buying a new card instead of a xbox to play this game.

He's a "wheel" nut also...LOL

I've got the  old red gripped M/S force feedback wheel, the best one M/S made. but I haven't hooked it up yet (I only have the demo) so I thought I'd wait till I got the game before I dug it out.

My kids are still @ home and costing me more every year...but I'm in no hurry to see them leave!

Cool, I got the PC version the other day, installing it today!  I'll see how much better or worst the PC version is...!

I've been playing this quite a bit.  I'm about 80% done.   I prefer Dirt 1 for several reasons (hill climbing, 1 on 1 rallycross [where it takes two laps for one complete lap], those are missing in Dirt 2).    I also prefer Dirt 1's trophy truck tracks.

I just recently got the open wheel Dallenbach and have had some great fun Trailblazing with one of those, including a 185 G crash (me and a Utah rock. the rock won).

I like both Dirt 1 and 2.  When it comes to replay value, I'll be replaying parts of Dirt 1 (hill climbing) more then Dirt 2.

Hey Bruce, great to see you're still kicking...!

One thing I do agree on, Dirt 1 had great trophy truck tracks, can you convert them... LOL!  Also, the hill climbs was cool as well, but the physics/feel of the wheel IMHO just didn't work as well.... which is why I enjoy Dirt 2 more.

I just unlocked the open wheeler, but did not see any events for it.  Where are the open wheel events, or is it just a fun vehicle?

Would be cool to setup a fun run online sometime O'l friend.  Jus was here and we did some LAN racing which is pretty cool, though the game is not really that open to customize your events.

All in all its a fun game!

Maybe a good patch will be out son and maybe they'll release some of the Dirt tracks for Dirt 2 as DLC or something.

Holy cow!  Nice to see you guys!

I am loving Dirt 2 also... too bad there isn't any "modder" love.
I preferred Dirt 1 trophy truck tracks too but there are so few.
- Randall - what is this about converting the tracks to Dirt 2?

Did you guys meet online for some racing yet?  I want IN!!!
- I run the Playseat w/ a Logitech MOMO on a 47" LCD TV @ 1920x1080.

BTW - I raced Live for Speed with AMA_VetRider over at the team site:

I am a "licensed" racer @ RaceDepartment.com too & run GTR EVO, Race 07, Race ON

I just bought MX Simulator and have an all new addiction!

*Bruce, can you still extract DISP maps from MCM2 *.ENV files?
- if so, this game can really use tracks if creators are willing to donate disp maps.

I'd like to pull a few of my disp maps out for converting them - if possible!

Look forward to hearing from you guys & doing some Dirt 2 events online!  ;D

VTF_Ace

Hey guys, been a while  :)
Not sure if anyone remembers me (XF Ace, VTF Ace etc)  ::)

Dirt2 is a great game for a few weeks, unlike MCM2 that lasted years and only got better and better.

If any of you old MCM'ers play on the Xbox, my gamertag is aceholer - add me if you like, I just got MX vs ATV Reflex a few days ago - playing it now  :)
