Merry Christmas everyone.  I hope you have a fun safe holiday.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I've been playing PURE.  It's overall disappointing to me.  It could have been better.  It looks like the quads don't quite touch the environment correctly.   It takes a long time to load levels.  I'll still play it through to the end though.   It seems like it has potential.  A little polish and an editor would be nice.

I haven't tried the online racing.

Yeah, Pure could have been much better, the load times are too much for me, the tracks are smooth as a babies rear too which isn't very realistic,  too much sliding around... feels like ice most of the time.

The tracks are extreme, but smooth.  I like the sliding around, but.  It's better than the MCM 2 sliding, but it suffers the same problem where once you are sliding the recovery isn't right.  As you slow down you should get more traction than you do.  It's far better than MCM 2 at that, but still frustrating.

I like the extreme capabilities of the tracks, but it makes me wonder as to what resolution they are at, because they don't have the finer details that I would like.  Any small jumps are objects.

It is the only thing that I have that has blue screened my PC.  It also every now and then doesn't load the next level properly.  You can tell that the border around the screen with the guy and quad on the edge of a cliff doesn't show and you can wait there forever.

I'm looking for a patch and I'll be upgrading my video drivers to see if it fixes it.  I have Vista SP1 and Nvidia 8800 GTS.

I'm a bit late for the christmas wishes but hope you all had a good one - best wishes for 2009 let's hope it's a good one!

I also have problems with slow loading, but i only have the demo and it takes what seems like forever to load the loading screen (longer than a track in  MVA) and then you have to start all over again and load the track..

It seems very arcade in the physics feel but that has it's attractions. In the demo track there seems to be a lot of effort put into details like flags waving on ships in the bay but the track itself seems quite simple - but that is just the demo track..
