When I created my first ever track, I had no problems with the program at all. At that time I did NOT have the adrmadillo update patch installed. And now since I have the dillo update, I seem to be having alot more troubles. What features would I not be able to use if I ran dillo without the update patch ??

for the past 5 years ive never used dillo with out the patch, as far as i think its just that you cant use custom objects without the patch.

The only reason that I think that you would have more problems is if the patch is not installed correctly.  The patch requires several files to be placed in specific directories.  If you end up with a mismatch than you will have problems.   The update is designed to be unzipped using the folder names within the zip.

I would stay away from the original one. The original one will bundle extra files in your env also, making for larger track files.

Creating splines is very buggy also
