I've been putting up with this problem for quite some time now, as its fairly hard to explain.

My problem is this:
It occurs on supercross tracks in particular, in tight corners that have jumps extremely close to the exit of the corner. It's as almost like when my front tire hits the lip/edge of the berm, the bikes brakes jam on, slowing me down majorly, even if i have it pinned.

An example of this is twisted sx night, where the double, huge tripple section is, no matter how fast i come through that corner, the bike always slows down to an intolerable speed right at the lip of the jump to where its impossible to double. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. Ive already tried raising/lowering graphics levels, different controller settings, even different controllers (ps2).
Im hoping someone has come across this problem before, but as for now, im slowly edging towards the "computer through the window" cure. >:(

The only thing I can think of is that for some reason you have your brakes dragging.  If your brakes are on and you pull back on the stick the brakes are more effective.

Make sure you have the latest directx, drivers for your controller (if necessary), make sure your controller is properly callibrated, and finally make sure that your controller is setup and your buttons are programmed correctly within MCM 2.

thanks, ill give it a wirl.

By pc btw:
radeon 9600xt graphics card
1gig ram
3.2gig p4 ht cpu
40gighdd

Edit:
Just tried changing my controller options in mcm2, by changing from a 2 axis, 4 button controller to a standard game controller, or what ever it is. It's helped alot more, although it still slows down in some situations. I can now double tripple,  ;D
Thanks.

VMX_Slowpoke2

did you calibrate your controller? and have the reaction settings in the game set to max?
