Sounds like you might have a corrupt game file somewhere, you could try copying the game files from the 'GAME\' folder on the CD and overwrite the installed files.

Have you installed any custom tracks or game mods?

Did you actually buy the game?

Yes brand new xplosive budget .

Did you try using the software rasterizer option when the game starts, it sugggests in the other thread? Does that work? If it works that way it is probably a driver issue like it says there. In which case you need to roll back your drivers a few versions.

Did you try copying the files directly from the CD?

Does it crash on the track loading screen or the game loading screen, which menu's do you see? Just to be sure :)

Have you ever run the game before? ie do you know what screens to expect in what order?

Hi i have played mcm2 on an older pc it crashes to desktop after the track loading screen. The blue bar gets nearly to the end.then crash.

Sounds like your gfx drivers then, i would just make sure that you have compatibility set to win9x on the MCM2 icon. Are you using the No_CD patch? that might help but i doubt it since all the CD checking should be already done by the time the track has done loading.

Looks like you have to try a few different versions of the drivers until you find one that works, shouldn't be too hard since more work than don't ..
