Hey guys,

I'm thinking about putting a TV card in my pc, but then I want my XBOX and Playstation 2 to be connected to it aswell. Anyone knows if this is possible? I've seen some cards that support SCART but they are for PC to TV.. not sure if it can work the other way around or something... Can anyone help me out a bit?

Thanks in advance!

metal_miracle

you dont need the cards whit scart.... just a vid tv card whit composite in/out... or do as i did get a  new graphics card whit in/out video on it..

I'm gonna get the ATI Radeon AX850 Platinum Edtion...supposed to be the best one out and I don't want to trade that in for a slower one... So I'm going for a TV card...

But how can I do it with just the in/out thing cause XBOX and PS2 use scart... there some special 'plug' for it?

Dual Nvidia SLi cards are faster actualy. There is also a new card hitting the market with  512mb of ram which will slap the X850XT PE on the nose. The X850XT PE is sweet though. Good choice of cards there.

On my new PC I got Audio-In, Composite-In and S-Video-In, and as you see in this pic I've put my PS2 on it...

But what do I need to do know...? lol

I think you need a scart break out lead, or one that has either TV, composite or s-video out (with s-video you will need to run a separate sound line to the PC since s-video is video only) then you can plug that into the TV/in on your gfx card. I think scart is just a multi format connector which you can pull out a number of different signals. Also you can get PS2 A/V cables with different connections on since that also supports different output options.

Well I can pull of the scart and have 3 different plugs on my PS2 cable... 1 red, 1 white, 1 yellow... the same as Audio-In, Composite-In and S-Video-In plugs on my comp... (you can see them plugged in on the pic above ^) and I might be wrong but I tought they are for that to... so... if it is right, what do I do now after pluggin them in :S

So everything is set up, and you just can't get it to play on your computer monitor? Is that what you're asking?

if so, maybe you need someting like this.

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mmc-9-06-0-0.exe

its the ati multi media center. It has TV, DVD, file player, etc.

Downloading...I'll know in 2 mins if it's good or not :P

Edit: I need to use the TV app off it for Vid-In stuff but it keeps freezing the app :S Any other software I can use?

MX45

yeah its pretty buggy. I've tried 9.02 and 9.03, not 9.06. So maybe try an older version.
It hasnt froze on me for a while, but early on, I was playing xbox live alot, and a couple times a day it would freeze mid game. Perfect timing, pissed me off every time lol.

When I run it, theres a window I need to click next a few times and then finish...and then it crashes...so I don't even get to see the program itself :P But I'll look for an older one :)

Been a while... anaywayz, the TV thing 'Eazyshare TV' (why share...i just want tv...) sends me trough a initialasation wizard, when i press finish it gives me a error that it can't find valid EAZYSHARE(TM) server on the network... what's this about... i don't even want it to use my network :s

Edit: Woohoo using Windows Movie Maker I recorder something of my PS2 :D Now I really need a application to view it live...
