I used to make bike models for MVA Unleashed. Unfortunately I don't have any knowledge in this kind of game modding but I'm looking forward to this project man, bike models is the next big step in Reflex and will keep this game "Alive" for more time. I really hope someone could help you.

That's cool! And yes, I agree that it is the next big step and will DEFINITELY keep the game alive for a lot longer! I hope someone does popup...

General Discussion MX vs ATV Reflex / Bike Models
July 15, 2016, 08:44:12 PM
Hey everyone, I know I have been away for a while but now I'm back! I'm still working on rally bike models for MX VS. ATV Reflex BUT is there anyone who wants to see them in game?

The modder who was trying to import custom models into the game has decided to move onto other projects quite some time ago so I am now left with several WIP bike models that can't be imported into the game. Unfortunately it has come to this, if I cannot find anyone who manages to import custom vehicle models into Reflex then I am going to have to drop this project. Is there anyone else in this community who could try importing custom models into Reflex? The reason I ask this is because I, myself am not experienced in importing/exporting/ripping models. If anyone out there is interested and experienced, please message me.

Any progress on custom models?

Nope, I'm having a very busy and rough year, but I'm not a quitter. The models will continue to be worked on, as well as the tracks. I deeply apologize for the very late reply, it won't happen again.

Hm... Not sure, have you checked out Reflex-Central?

General Discussion MX vs ATV Reflex / 3 Projects
November 10, 2015, 01:16:55 AM
Hey everyone, I thought I'd just make a post about what I've been doing so far and bring some news.
I've been working on 3 projects at once for MvA Reflex (with 2 projects for Star Wars Battlefront 2 on top of that, including life itself) and I'm going to announce what they are.

Project 1: I've been working on this since I got the PC version of MvA Reflex earlier this year, it's my main priority project. I am making 4 tracks, each 4096 x 4096 in size, of the Baja 1,000.
The first map will take place in the morning at the beginning of the race, Ensenada; second map will take place around midday, about a quarter through the 1,000 mile course; the third map will take place in the evening at about three fifths of the course; the last map will take place at night (good luck staying on the track!) around four fifths of the course. My target is to make the project as close to the real thing as the pc will let me go and to make it very... adrenaline pumping. There will be lots of rough ground, dangers, and many other things that can throw you off course and crash.

Project 2: I started this project after starting the first project, the main focus of project 2 is to make skins of enduro bikes and baja bikes, they will be in their own skinpacks: Enduro Pack and Baja Bike Pack. I'm about 90% done with this project.

Project 3: Now, for the real surprise... Bike models. I've just started making drafts of frames for enduro bikes (Honda XR650R to name one) and will move onto engines and body after. JamieT is working on getting bike models into the game. Progress on this project is very slow and may have a chance of getting cancelled in the future if things don't work out properly because it's a very... fragile project, if that's the best way to put it.

There, I've said it all, and I'm putting my best efforts into each and every one of these projects. The skinpacks will come out first, obviously, as they are no-brainers so keep an eye for the skinpacks! I have released a little teaser skin from my Enduro Pack on Reflex Central; 2015 Honda CRF450RM, check it out and leave a comment on what you think of it :)

People involved in the projects above (by involved I mean helping each other out) are mcm2boys, JamieT, and I. I can't thank JamieT and mcm2boys enough for their help, if it weren't for them or DirtTwister's work, NONE of this would have happened.

P.S. feel free to discuss anything about this topic below.

General Discussion MX vs ATV Reflex / Handguard issue
November 07, 2015, 12:21:02 AM
Ok, I know this sounds like an idiot question but I've always been bugged by it, why is it the handguards in the customization menu in good detail but are just low rez triangles attached to the bars on the bike in-game????

Strange, I run that too. Well now I'm stumped as to what's causing problems on your end, i apologize
#10
It might be an operating system compatibility issue, what operating system is your pc running on?
#11
Hmmm... That's strange... Unfortunately I can't think of any other solution, sorry. :/

I guess someone has tried the Vsync option enabled to slow the render cycle down and that didn't work? I am leaning towards the possibility that the gfx card is maybe a little too fast for Reflex and not syncing with the frame update properly. My guess would be that fraps is slowing the render cycle down enough to bring it back into sync when it's recording.

I guess we'll see when fatser cards come out and the problem gets worse..

I know this is a bit of an old topic but after reading what mcm2boys said about the gfx cards, I don't think the problem will get worse because I have an Asus desktop PC with an AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics  3.70 Ghz and 8 GB RAM. My operating system is Windows 8.1 (I like this version).
I have NO problems running all of my games (dating from 2000 to 2015) on maximum graphics (I even run Dying Light and Battlefield 4 smoothly on max graphics, just saying), including MX vs. ATV Reflex.

Just making a statement here.

I don't fully understand the height scale popup I get when I load a height map into DE; I know it adjusts the height, yes, but I feel like there is more to it because of the two options on the popup with the multiplier on the left side... Someone please explain this to me? I'm in a major roadblock at the moment with DE and its height maps (everything else works fine, including RGB masks and so on). Any help/explanation would be appreciated

Thanks,
Brendan

I see... Well from what I know there could be a number of things causing this. Option 1: Check your graphics settings, fiddle around with them a bit and turn motion blur off unless you have a very fast computer. If that doesn't work, then Option 2: Check all of your bike and rider skins to see if none of the custom/DLC skins are equipped, if they are, unequip them. If that doesn't work either, here's Option 3: Go to the installation folder and check to see if any files haven't been modified or removed (save for mods, unless they were put in the wrong place so make sure whenever you install mods put them in the right location), if any files have been removed or modified, reinstall the game.

If the last three options didn't work, then uninstall and wipe all MX vs. ATV Reflex save files, reinstall the game and get the save file mod by JamieT from here (to get back on top in the game): http://reflex-central.com/savegame_mod.php

Hope this helps!

Well, have you deselected any custom skins before loading new ones into the game? If not, do that. Always pick 32 bit, and they will always be pixelated ingame, it sucks but that's how it is from what I know so far. If deselecting the skins does not help, try downloading the 15 million game save by JamieT but backup you're old profile in case this doesn't work! What are you running, Windows or Mac? Make sure the game is updated to the latest version, same goes for the skin packager, make sure it is the latest version. You can wait for other modders' responses to see if they help better but if all else fails, I have no choice but to say, reinstall the game, start over. Hope I helped.

I got it! Thanks JamieT for telling me about the flatten image thing! All I had to do was color to alpha, pick the color black, then flatten the image, and color to Alpha again, pick black, and imported it into the game and it worked!! Problem solved, thanks a lot! :D

Someone please help me, this is driving me nuts, I've been trying to get the no-number thing to work, spent two days already, did everything I was supposed to do (at least i think i did). These are the steps i took: STEP 1. create separate image in GIMP with 128x128 pixels, Resolution: 72.00 pixels/in, Color Space: RGB Color, Fill with: Background Color, Click OK. STEP 2. Click on Layer tab, Click on Transparency, Click on Add Alpha Channel. STEP 3. Click on Layer again, Click on Transparency again, Click on Color To Alpha, change color to black, Click OK. STEP 4. Click on File, Click on Export As..., Click on Desktop, name file as testnumber.bmp, Click on Export, Export As BMP options window pops up, Click on Advanced, Click on A8R8G8B8 under 32-Bit, Click on Export. STEP 5. Start up Reflex Skin Packager, make bike and brand names, add appropriate skins to each, Click on Numbers tab, upload the testnumber.bmp file, Click on Save As MX skin DLC 16, DLC Saved window pops up, Click on Ok. STEP 6. Start up Reflex, go to Garage, select Shima 450f, hover over new brand name, and all the plastics are pitch black.

Someone please tell me if i am doing something wrong!

The bikes I own and ride are an '86 DR200 and a 2015 DRZ400S (with the dirt setup), I'm saving up for a Honda XR650R (any year) and I hope to get my hands on one before I turn 19 next October (not this coming October). Both of my bikes are street legal but I ride them offroad 90% of the time. I'll post some pics of them after I get the new trackmaster tires on my DRZ, what about you guys, what bikes do you have?

EDIT: Got the pics now, just got back from a ride so the bikes are a bit dirty in the pics. See attachments.

EDIT 2: I apologize I did not realize the attachments don't work on here so I'm going to provide links as well as links to some trail riding videos i made on Youtube.
