Wow im impressed that is a great idea for selecting physics.  hit me up on msn maybe i can help ya out and we could work on a mod together.  The game itself is beautiful, no other mx game comes close to the graphics of MUD, but it needs help in the physics department.

add my msn defiantmx@live.com

Thanks for the reply, I was able to open the .mix files to see all the .dds and open them in gimp, what I would like to do is open the .bin or .res and look at the models and see how they are setup so I can work on how to put new models or tracks in.  Also I would love to see the changes you have made to the physics maybe add some stronger braking with more sliding of the back end would be great.

I was able to open the .mix file and extract all the .dds and other files but is it possible to open the .res files?

General Discussion / Updated Mx Simulator
November 20, 2008, 01:21:47 PM
Just though some of the guys around here would like to know that mx sim has been updated and now has rider movement which has improved the game a lot.  I know back in the day a lot of the guys around here use to make some of the most amazing mods and tracks around,  DirtTwister, ama battk, ElDiablo, and others.

Im sure if you guys got involved mx sim would improve even more.

anyways check it out its loads of fun now and reminds me of the good old mcm and mcm2 days.

Track Creators / Terragen
December 20, 2005, 07:57:39 AM
So i finally figured out terragen a little bit, but i still need some help on a few things.

* When i render the textures in terragen and then transfer them into the game the shadows are horribly blurry.

*If there is anyone that is really good with terragen i wondered if it is possible to add to IM so that i can ask a few questions.

any help would be very appreciated

thanks

Track Creators / Leveller/Texture Help?
December 06, 2005, 01:26:10 AM
Im sure this has probably been asked before, but i really need help with making textures after using leveller.  I make my track in leveller and then i dont know how to render textures in 3D Studio Max, or any prog. for that matter.  Also is it worth using leveller if you only have the demo version or should i just stick to photoshop?   Any help would be appreciated.

I have already made textures before im wondering how to render the textures in 3D Studio Max when you export your .BMP from leveller and it is all sorts of different colors and when you put it into 3D Smax it looks funky.
