General Discussion / Re: Exporting Question for MvA

By any chance is this a track that was started before the patch? If so you will need to redo the whole thing. Sucks huh?

And do you export your spline and save it seperately? You can then import it back in.

This is what I've been doing & it seems to work just dandy. I've not seen the issue with them turning right off the start, but I have had some trouble getting them to stay on the track in turns, although I am makin' progress in that area. Thus far I have been able to knock almost 20 seconds off thier lap times by tweaking the nodes leading into turns. I can still easily outrun them, but it's getting better.

Trial & error seems the only way.

Well it looks as though it was I that wasn't working right. lol I got it fingerd out now man. Thanks for the reply.

I just cain't make it work. Help me please. I ain't a clue as to what I'm doing wrong.
#6
Thanks man. I hope to make this work on my next release.

I'm tryin', without much luck I might add, to make them more competitive & I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. All I can seem to accomplish is makin' 'em worse. They jump off the track in every turn. I've tried the thing like in Armadillo by adding more nodes closer to the turns, but that doesn't seem to help at all. So I guess what I'm askin' is............has anyone had any luck with this?

I'm happy for yas man. I didn't even know this was going on until it was too late. I would've tried myself if for nothin' more than sheets & giggles.  ;D When I got back into this a while back, I was blown away byt the tracks being done today. I seriously thought about not even trying. lol You guys makes some truely awesome maps.  :P Again.. best of luck to yas.

Could you guys be more childish? Rippin' is just a form of flattery. At least they thought it good enough to rip right?

The comment about not uploading your work because someone ups something that isn't to your liking, is just plain asinine.

Brother the Victory map is cool as hell. The textures are a bit bright, but overall a damn nice track.

Did you try new drivers or when you installed the new card, did you remove the old drivers first? Very well could be a driver problem.

Track Creators / MXU Veggies - Specifically Nat 4
July 31, 2005, 05:14:14 PM
Ok I'm havin' issues with the MXU Nat 4 veggies. If I try to place them in Armadillo, it CTD & if I try to use them in D2, I get an access error. Anyone got any ideas as to why?

They will actually place in D2, but when I attempt to pack the track is when I get the access error.

Ya know man I was in ridin' it last night & I gotta say................it's still a stellar track. Always thought that stock sky worked great with the flat terrain on the perimeter. It kinda reminds of alot of places in the Valley out in Cali.

Very nice brother. Happy fer yas. I'm still running my ol' system. Just cain't afford to upgrade at this time.  :'( Does what I need I reckon.  ::)

Gigabyte GA-7VAXP KT400
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ @  2205 MHz (15 x 147)
Corsair Value Select 1.5gb 3x512 PC2700
IBM Deskstar 120GXP 2x RAID-0 (120GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/100)
LITE-ON DVD SOHD-167T
LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S
MSI MS-8929 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900SP (128 MB) @ 495/950

Track Creators / Re: DaveU style track path help

You could use the Polygonal Lasso Tool & outline the section you want raised. Now select Edit\Stroke, use white & make it like 1 pixel, erase the closed ends. Now put a slight Gaussian Blur, maybe 1.4 or so, then lower the opacity. this will give you that edge you are talking about.

Hope this helps.
