General Discussion MCM 2 / Re: trinity acres

Hiya Bryan,

No worries if you don't want to reply.  I was wondering back when you released Dingleberry Forest, and now with your new Lucky 13 track released, I figure I'd better ask.  Are there any reasons why you don't want your tracks on the MCM2 Downloads site?  If you can give me any details, maybe I can use your answers to improve the site.  If not, then no worries, I won't ask about this again.

Would this be one of your tracks?  VMX Training Facility  It's the only VMX track I have that I don't know who the creator was.  There's no screenshot for it, so if you're not sure, just grab it and run a few laps on it.

Man, sorry it took so long to get back here.  Here's the golf course track you guys are talking about:

And the link to download the track

I believe I also have one of the betas for this track, remember how we were supposed to keep these secret?

If you want, you can download this one too.

I'll hunt through my archives for Trinity, I know it's not on the site yet.  I'll let you know when I find it.  Also, I have a few more WhiteBoy tracks getting posted soon.  All I can recall right now is their names begin with "M" or "N".  More info once I get back to making track pages.

Cool, glad you like the site.  It's constantly getting updated, there's over 600 tracks there now, and will be at least 3,000 tracks before I'm done with my archive.  Let me know if it ever takes too long to find anything there?  Also, set this thread to "notify" you of replies, because as I find more AheadBMX_6 tracks, I'll come back here to post links to them.  Take care, hope to see you on Voobly!

OK, I did find GreenHill, it was collaboration between him, WhiteBoy, and SBG_Rat.  I should be able to get it up on the site later today, or tomorrow night.  I'll post a ink once it's up there.  BTW, there's probably more to come, I'm just working on a second run through my archives and I'm currently on the letters "G" and "H".

Hiya WhiteBoy.  Haven't heard from ya in a bit.  Did ya make a baby?  If so, Congratulations, and I hope everybody is doing well.  I promised to let you know when I uploaded more of your tracks to my site.  Here's two more that are now up there.

Track page for Fatal Blow

Track page for Fertile Cescent

Hiya xJUNKx.  I checked my site, but all I have is SouthCreekMX so far.  I'll keep this thread in mind as I'm uploading tracks to my site, so when I come across more of his work I'll post it here.

WhiteBoy, heads up, we've got great weather in Upstate NY, kind of rare, so I'm using it.  I'll be pounding on these like I used to in the old days.  That means 50 to 100 laps on each - but more if I feel like it  ;).  I'll give you a full report, but it might not be until Monday night.  Thanks for sending them, I'm really looking forward to thrashin' on them.  Also, let me know if you want to meet up on Voobly on these tracks, we can pound them racing each other.  Different lines always come out under those condiftions.

al167, Great to meet ya!  I hope you can get what you need for the conversions.

And finally, MCMFactory is back.  They're domain got parked on Feb 28th, but it looks like they renewed.  This is quite a relief since MCM2 sites seem to only be getting rarer.  We need all the die-hards we can get!!

Count me in!  Let me know when you're ready? I'll make an FTP link for you.  Or if you have another way to get the trax to me that's cool too.  BTW, that harescramble looks fun too!

I put this up on the site tonight.  ;D  Posting it to you as promised.

The track page for it is here.  You are entirely welcome to post anything about it you want on that page, I'll put your comments in the "Creator's Comments".

Well in that case, I better take the track for a spin  ...  again (these are all tracks that I used to run way way back).  It looks like what I would've run for hours on a ghost.  If you want it, or want to share it with him, here's the link.

Sounds Cool!!  Thanks!  I can't wait to run 'em (but I'm not rushing you ;)).

Stumbled across this while I was building more pages, figured you might get a kick out of it.

yeah mcm2 is just a great classic. i never made tracks or skins but i did download a heap back when it was popular. i just tried to install mcm2 on my windows 7 64 bit machine and it works but only with software rasterisation for the graphics (looks real bad and is unplayable with such bad graphics). if i select my graphics card when prompted(i had to change the registry settings to be able to be prompted), the game closes. i google searched and others are having similar problems. apparently it has something to do with the ram size has to be under 2gb. some guys are pulling a stick of ram out and others are changing settings - "MSCONFIG > Boot > Advanced Options" then check the "Maximum memory:" box and set the maximum amount to 2gb.Then reboot.
i havent tried either yet. does anyone have a better way as i dont really want to do either of the the above (i cant do the first because i have 2x 4gb sticks) just to play mcm2?

cheers allan

You mentioned the easiest way I've found yet, Win7 boots fast enough for this to work well.  I've got 12 GB, and there's no way I'm physically removing my sacred RAM.  I have these steps posted on my site:
■Go to Start > Search, and type in "msconfig". (C:\Windows\System32\msconfig.exe)
■Click on "msconfig.exe", go to the "Boot" tab, and click the "Advanced options..." button.
■Select the "Maximum memory:" check box, set the value to "2047″, and click OK twice.
■Reboot, and launch the game.

If I find anything easier or better, I'll post it here.

I'll keep an eye out for your garage dog collaboration too, and this will take time, but I wouldn't be surprised if I find it.  I still haven't scratched the surface of my personal collection for building the site, and someone just yesterday generously donated their 21.5 GB collection of tracks to me to put on the site.  Glad to hear you're back in action on the track development too, I'm looking forward to it  ...  but take your time, nail the details, and enjoy the ride :)  Thanks for the compliments on the site too, I'm glad you like it.  Make yourself at home, browse, download, and comment all you want  ...  especially on your tracks - I'd love to get as many creator comments as possible.  Oh, if you register you won't have to put up with that annoying re-captcha thing, and once I approve your first comment, all the rest of your posts automatically show up as soon as you make them.  Take care, talk to ya soon.

I don't have enough of their tracks loaded on the site to put those creators in the "Quick Search" > "Legendary Track Makers" menu yet, but here's what's there so far.

For Tnarg
Intense

For Scum Racing
The Inquisition
I-90 Construction Season
A River

My goal was to make any and all tracks real easy, and quick to find through a number of search methods.  I expect that to remain true no matter how many thousands of tracks I get eventually get there.  So, look around, and let me know if you run into any problems?  Thanks man.  Also, there's other creators out there still creating and releasing tracks to this day, and they're uploading to my site too.  So when you're ready, I'd really like to have any of your new work (any of your old work too) on the site.  Hope to race ya soon.  Take Care  ...  Thrash Hard!!

OK, put these tracks up on the server, of course help yourself to anything else want there too.

2003 World SX GP Geneva
2003 World SX GP Anaheim

As soon as I find more of your work, I'll post it for you.  Check out Voobly for some online racing if you get a chance too, you won't believe it until you see it.

Hiya, Good to see ya back man!!  I just checked my site, sadly no sign of Desert Dust.  But I may still have it somewhere, I'm actually acquiring about 30 GB of trax as I post this.  I do have a couple of your 03 WSXGP trax.
03GenevaSX.env = in game name: "2003 Geneva SX"
03WSXGPRd03.env = in game name "THQ Worls Sx GP Rd. 3: Anaheim, Ca"

Not sure if that last one is the arnhem you referred to.  These will be going up on the site further down the because they're at the end of the alphabet.  Want me to upload them so I can send you a working link?  Also, I'm sure I have a lot more of your tracks since I really enjoyed track style.  I can keep you posted as I make the pages for them if you want.

Take Care  ...  Thrash Hard!!

Tresonce, Good To See Ya!!  I remember your tracks, and even running with you and other AUS_, that was mostly weekends and tourneys.  I remember even staying up late just to meet up and shred with you guys.  So, down to business now, Are you gonna start making tracks again too?  ;) ;)  Hope to see you in game (I'll have it soon).

Cool, no worries on the MCM2 stuff.  Looks like TD here is bringing the same immortality to MVA Reflex, and next month MVA Alive comes out.  Sorry, not sure if I got the names of these games wrong.  So with these things on the horizon, maybe we can launch roosts with one of them.  Good talking to ya man.  Take Care  ...  Thrash Hard!!
