I'm actually looking forward to this game coming to PC. Going to be a long wait until February though. I've been watching every youtube video I can find for the last week. It looks to me like they went back to more of a MX Unleashed/MX vs. ATV Unleashed feel. I loved those games. I bought an Xbox just to play MX Unleashed, and I don't even like consoles! It's hard to believe that it's been 16 years since MCM came out. I miss those days of playing hundreds of user made tracks in the Internet Gaming Zone. Then MCM 2 and even more tracks. I still have over 20 CDs packed with user made MCM 2 tracks on my shelf. Great times indeed.

I think there are only 2 games in the series I never got because they were console only. Those would be Untamed and Alive. I don't really feel I missed out on much with either of those. Reflex wasn't bad, but it never hooked me or gave me the same level of excitement that MCM through MX vs ATV Unleashed did. Supercross has me excited again and I can't even try it for another 3 months! I really hope user made tracks will be easier to add than they are in Reflex and not be limited to just 6 or so at a time.

General Discussion / Re: MX mania videos .

The track is called Bubba's Roost KXF. Made by AMA_Xtreme. I was heavy into this game when it came out in the Fall of 2000. We had weekly tournaments, but our biggest turnout was about 28 riders. www.motox2.com was/is the primary site for tracks and skins.

You can download the YZ editor and the update from http://www.motox2.com/links.htm

Damn Bob,
How many cd changers you got going on that setup? You must have more cds than I have mp3 downloads.  ;D
Cool set up.
Mike

Thanks Mike.
I have two Kenwood DV-5900M 400+3 disc CD/DVD changers in my setup. About 600 CDs and 100 DVDs in there currenty. But your setup, wow man! :o Now that is nice. Very clean and comfy looking. I dream of the day I can set up my stuff to look that good. Very cool.

Post photos!  ;D :o

Here ya go King. Never tried taking a photo of a TV before. Not the greatest results.

I've had to use gamespy for several games over the last 6 years. I know that message you got King. I get it the first time I host a newly installed game there. I just check the box that tells it not to remind me again or something like that. I have a router and have always used DMZ rather than port forwarding. Gamespy uses a bunch of ports and I'm lazy.  ;) With Norton Internet Security running, I feel comfortable leaving my PC in DMZ 24/7. If you rather use port forwarding, there is a help section in Gamespy that list all of the ports somewhere.

What time will you be around tonight? Maybe we can try again.

General Discussion MVA / Re: NO CUSTOM BIKE SKINS!!!
December 21, 2005, 07:01:22 PM
Yes, this is disappointing news. But in the overall scheme of things, it's a relatively small problem in my opinion. First, I am just happy that Rainbow/THQ is even making this available on the PC. Second, they are giving us a track editor. Tracks are more important to me than skins. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy making and using custom skins too. Third, like many have already said, I'm sure someone will find a way to make custom skins work.

No one knows how well this game will do this early on, but I am optimistic it will be a hit. That being said, I wonder if it would be of any benefit to Rainbow/THQ to release the tracks from MXU as and expansion pack to MVA? I would pay $20 to have them. I know the people here at TD have made almost all of the MXU tracks for MCM2 and did a wonderful job. It would just be killer to have the original Rainbow versions that are already tuned to the bike physics of MXU & MVA. I know I am getting way ahead here, but I can't help but think of things like that.  ;)

Yeah, those are sweet. I have an older version of the 56" model (HLN567W) and it can dispay 1920x1080i or 1280x720p. A 1080p set would rock. But MVA still looks awesome on it with the HD XBOX kit.

I just found out today and I can't wait! I really like MXU and MX vs ATV. Heck, I bought an XBOX just for those 2 games but I am soooo glad it's coming back to the PC where it all started. I'm having flashbacks to September of 1998 and the MCM 1 tourney for a trip to Vegas. Lot's of great memories. I can't believe it's been almost 8 years since this all started. Wow, I'll be checking constantly for pre-orders.  :D
