from memory you need less than 2gb ram on your pc and you need to install Indeo® 3.2, 4.5, and 5.11 Codecs. (google it)

I never bought it for console, so i'm downloading now off steam, wish me luck.. lol
good luck!!!!! lol, I cant wait to hear your response ....
oh and playing it more, didn't help me.
but at least your supporting them.. I purchased the ps3 version, that's enough supporting from me.

100% agree st anger. except Im shure that you wont have to pay more as it gets developed.
#7
what are your plans with it laurie?

#8
also don't forget to make your textures seamless first. search seamless texture tutorial on youtube!
#9
look at the stock sample files in the wiki and look at each channel of the image. try your best to copy these for your texture. in photoshop just use levels, brightness, and blur so you get each channel of your image to like the stock track bump maps. Also black alpha makes the wheel sit below surface, white alpha sits on top.(or was it the other way around, it been a while).

good luck

I think it will be worth the wait, once it's out and you've run it for a couple of weeks i think you'll see it's an improvement on Reflex.
sadly im going to disagree with you laurie. lol

my new hopes for an amazing new mx game lie with mx bikes!!

from memory,
make dummy folders in the c location copying all game data over aswell:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\MX vs ATV Reflex

then after you compile a track, copy the track files to the other d directory version.
probably would be easier to just reinstall in that location.

im not going to make it. heres all my Daytona stuff for 2013. its a good template for the 15 track for whoever wants to make it.

I have noticed that too, I think its using a different seat for the Honda 125 and 250, unsure why.

I dont have mxs so that wont be a option for me. but leveller looks good because its 3d it (might) be easyer to use. gooing to have a look at it
I think you can activate the editor in the free demo

I just don't get that flowing feeling of "ripping around a track" that us washed up mxers, that don't ride anymore, desire so bad.  the scrubing is whats so important to me, not the whipping. you just cant attack the track. i want to ride flat out up to a triple and brake and scrub it to stay low fast. there is a certain style that is sexy to watch and only true mxers can understand this. in this game its just hold it wide and preload, land preload and land again. it seems like you have to preload every single jump. i think its faster to preload the whoops too.... I played some more yesterday......,  I tried manual trans and with the pre recorded sounds, you had no idea when to change gear, made me hate it more lol.  probably wont get involved with this one. (unless it gets a good patch from the devs)

mxs has that "feel" more than any other game.
(i still kinda don't know how someone as patient as you hasn't yet succumb to it lol)
also mxbikes is looking great for its first beta, its too early to tell still if it will be good, as its got a few physics issues that aren't right, did you try it?
and mxgp is more fun for an arcade based mxgame the racing is close and challenging.

cheers allan

I now use the mxs in game editor, its crazy powerful once you learn it. I find it easier to get the jump shapes and takeoff shape Excactly right (im very fussy). but it wont output  24 bit heightmaps like leveller,  its on par with photoshop (8 bit image)
poidog808 does great mxs tutorials.

maybe  laurie might get into physic's modding for this one ;D ;D

 ??? ??? ???
just completed both east and west 250 titles on ps3, and totally agree with cloead. you hit the nail on the head!
ive only played for about 4 hrs and I totally hate it...not sure what they where thinking when they made it.

maybe im calling it too early and its like  mx sim and it needs 10+ hrs before it becomes enjoyable, but there's just too many arcade features staring me in the face that tells me otherwise..... (in air steering, no need for brakes, crazy clutch boost, pogo stick preload...)

maybe its just that mx simulator has set the bar too high in the physics department for me to play these sort of games anymore. (you'd probably notice I don't even play reflex much anymore)

if this was a car racing game, it would be like going from games like asetto corsa and rfactor2 back to Mariokart!!

once changed you will have to start again using a soft brush. try using layers and opacity to get the desired effect.
