Hey Fixer, did you notice the extreme amount of load time before the game starts up? From what I have read it has to do with the Starforce protection on it. Anyone know a way to speed the load time up?
With this Starforce on it takes forever to load.

The game is out, but you can only get it from Gogamer in the USA or from www.xpandrally website.
The track editor is very complex, and at the moment there isnt much in the line of a readme or tuts for it.
They are working on a full user guide, you can find out alot more from the forums here http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~reg/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=61

They allready have a lap recorder up and running for it! http://www.gametimesonline.com

I've seen this before. What you need to do is run the XP_fix.exe tool.
This installaton program will reinstall the missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt. The absence or corruption of one or more of these files causes a "16 Bit Subsystem" error.

Do a google on XP_fix.exe to d/l it. I would post a link for you but I cant remember where I got it from.
Check your XP cd, now that I think of it. I think its on there.

Hook I dont get why you cant see the profile manager, anyway you can find your profile by going to this location on your pc.
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles  open up the .slt file and you will see all your settings including your Favorites.
You can then load all your favs at once.
You should always back up your links no matter what browser you are using.

You should also periodically clean out your Cach.trash folder.

Hook, at top see tools? smack that then select change profile.
As for the SP2 issues, you guys must be a bit confused or something.
And the popups, look under tools "at top" see popup manager. Delete the sites that the Spyware added in there. First you need to run S&D or your favorite cleaner.

I bet he is using a differant profile and just doesnt realize it yet.
Change back to your normal profile and all your favs will be there, they dont just vanish by the way.

General Discussion MCM 2 / Re: Anyone know about routers?
September 18, 2004, 06:01:16 AM
Well first off you dont need to run a software f/w when you have a router" hardware wall"
You need to run the setup for the router and from there you can forward ports for any app you need.
It should be something like this http://192.168.1.1   when the page pops up you will be asked for a user name and pass/ You will have to check router info for the default settings on that so you can get into setup.

Firefox 1.0 PR RC
What's new in 1.0 Release?
New features

* 250231 - Find toolbar.
* 244078 - Live Bookmarks (RSS feed integration)*.
* New keyboard shortcuts
o 213377 - Pressing Esc now stops image animations.
o 246719 - Link modifiers now work in many places in the browser UI. For example, Ctrl+clicking the Home button opens your home page in a new tab.
o 208035 - [Linux] Pressing Backspace key now goes back.
* 225944, 247960 - Add folder pane to Bookmark Manager (screenshot)*.
* 211023 - "Sort by name" on context menus for bookmarks folders.
* 239241 - Add password manager mode to display saved passwords.
* 218694 - Implement master password UI.
* 217664 - Ability to use same proxy for all protocols.
* 166395 - Need ability to override navigator.appName and navigator.appVersion from prefs.js.
* 173569 - Clicking in focused textbox should open autocomplete results.

* Neil Turner: More on new Firefox features describes these new features in more depth.
Major improvements

* 174265, 173762, 228862 - Favicons for bookmarks often wrong and forgotten after shutdown.
* Firefox update and Extension update improvements
o Firefox now checks for updates every 24 hours. (Firefox still only checks for extension updates every 7 days.)
o 251473 - Allow extension authors to remotely bump maxVersion for a given extension version to prevent users from having to redownload an identical new version when they upgrade Firefox where the only change is a newer maxVersion.
* Pop-up blocking improvements
o 176564 - Can now open blocked popups.
o Yellow information bar for blocked pop-ups in addition to status bar icon*. This information bar can be disabled.
* Security improvements
o 241705 - If a site not in your whitelist attempts to install software, a yellow information bar now appears instead of a dialog*. This prevents malicious sites from repeatedly popping up a software installation dialog until you accept. The initial whitelist contains only update.mozilla.org.
o 22183 - Make the address bar visible in all pop-up windows to prevent spoofing. (See also 252811.)
o 245406 - Display domain in status bar for secure sites.
o 244025 - For secure sites, show lock icon in address bar (in addition to showing it in the status bar) and make address bar yellow*.
o 157354 - Hide user:pass in the address bar. (Usernames and passwords in URLs come before the hostname, which is confusing and has been used in widespread phishing/spoofing attacks.)
* Alternate stylesheet support improvements
o The status bar icon now only appears when the page actually has alternate stylesheets.
o 216424 - You can now select alternate stylesheets using the keyboard (View > Page Style).
o 253332 - The Page Style menu (but not the status bar menu) has a "No Style" option that removes all styles, including ones from style attributes and other HTML attributes.
* 253046 - New missing plugin finder (screenshots).
* The "Web Features" options panel has been reorganized.
* 232089 - The "Add bookmarks" dialog should not default to the last folder you added a bookmark to.
* 242586 - Add Amazon, Dictionary.com, eBay, and Yahoo to the search bar (in addition to Google). You can still add engines from Mycroft.
* 237727 - When installing on top of an existing Firefox installation, the installer now deletes old files program files without nuking the entire directory from orbit.
* 177996 - [Linux] Better Start Script for Firefox - When invoking Firefox with an instance already running, pass a URL to the running instance (if one was given) or tell the running instance to open a new window.
* 257405 - [Linux] Use GTK2 native keybindings for input and textarea. This means Firefox no longer uses Emacs keybindings in text fields unless you set an pref in GTK2.

New web developer features

* 248549 - In quirks mode, add undetected document.all support.
* 256932 - In quirks mode, expose elements by their name/id in the global scope.

Major bug fixes

* 229100 - Shift+Tab is broken in the search bar.
* 232770 - Ctrl+Tab to switch tabs should work even when the address bar has focus.
* 246078 - URLs from other apps result in two Firefox windows or a window and an error dialog.
* 101190 - Firefox incorrectly blocks requested popups while the page is loading.
* 231393 - Tab URL does not persist on bad links if tabs switched.
* 213186 - Change "Cookies are delicious delicacies." to something more informative.

To be honest with you here. I would start over on your SS.
Take your resolution way up for SS. Even if it makes the game lag like mad. You just need a crisper SS.

Nemesis, I see you slam guys all the time or have what looks to be negative comments towards ones work.
Yet you have nothing to impress on what you do!
Are you some kind of argumentive judge that just loves to be negative or what?
Dont get me wrong here I like a critic, but you are a poor one.

Nice site Sky, a simple html site that is layed out firmly can always lay waiste to Hi teck and sloppy work.
Not that I have anything to prove at all, I'm just kinda sick of your Tude.
Chill out a bit and relax. Think before you lay a finger on the keys.

WFO you mentioned Xtimes. Does anyone ever see Madmax these days?
Lots of old timer names roll in my head from this post.
PT,Ogre,Crusader,Sean,Wilfor,Panther,Flyin,Fragbunny,Snowman,Dino,SR,Butcrak,Mr Happy,Mugen,Fastrog,RacinJoe,Wreckerman<< he was the guy that made the first site for MCM. I'm not sure about this but i think Wreckermans site is what we know now as Central.
That guy on RST named MXDirt took it over.
Back in them days if you did stunts or tagball you were a minority.
Would be nice to see some of them around again.

I almost forgot to mention everyones favorite guy " NJK_DeadDog" lol man was he a train wreck of a personality.
Here is a Very old review of MCM1>>>  http://www.cdmag.com/articles/014/026/motocross_madness_review.html
This link will jar alot of you old timers back a long way>> http://www.igl.net/php/page.php?p=hall&t=base&lng=eng&l=zmotor&g=si&svr=cgi&pl=  Its a slow link but well worth the history.

The night that the tools were released for making tracks for MCM1 a guy Name X_Lonewolf had a beta of a new track to test, this was a tweaked over stock disp map that came as a example from the tool set.
The next day two User created tracks came out. One was from Lonewolf and I cant remember the name "something Revenge" Another guy named Tincrunch had a track named OOP that he also u/l for everyone to d/l.
The track OOP was exactly just that, lol it was nasty. Tincrunch and Lonewolf went on to be 2 of the favorite track makers back for mcm1.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm going to load it up then this evening.
Sky, as long as the new system is XP the old drive will be fine no matter if it has XP or 98 loaded on it.
If the old drive has XP on it and you are making new system 98, then that wont work unless XP is Fat32.

I havent had MCM on my PC for some time now and I was wondering if I could load it back on this way.
I have XP pro loaded now with 2 hd's and 5 partitions one small one on non O/S drive for swap.
Can I still load MCM in a directory such as J:\MCM and get Dillo and all to work or does it HAVE to be C:\ ?

I havent bothered to try yet, I thought I would ask the guys that may have tried first.

Maybe ruff up the paint a tad so it looks a bit used.
