i have a radeon 9200 w/ xp.

when I load the game and run it, it's using "software rasterization" which means crappy.  How do I tell the game to use the vid card?  Yes, I have "select 3-d box" that's supposed to pop up at start-up, but it's not.

I do have something called "Video controller" in my device manager w/ a big question mark over it - should I de-install this?  any ideas?  much thanks.

Guys, I'm asking for a simple link.  No, I'm not interested in buying  the game for a 3rd time.  I have rebuilt my computer several times over the past  7 years and I have replaced MCM2 each time.  if somebody knows of a link for a download, please hook me up, otherwise, don't bother responding.

I posted this at Factory, and without an answer, it went for 3 pages of smack from hook.  Sheesh.

Anyway, I recently had to rebuild my computer, and I don't have the cd anymore.  No, my Wal-Mart doesn't have it, and no, I'd like to avoid using Amazon.  I've had the game since '99.

Anyway, does anybody know where I can download the game?  torrent?

MS provides no support anymore for MCM.  The game is ancient as far as they are concerned.  People create, and distribute patches for games all the time.  For example, people take a war game, and make it to where the character can, for example, fly, or not be killed, or run fast.  This is all we would be doing.  We would alter how a  corner is taken, how the bike jumps, or how the track deteriorates.  If people have the know-how, what's stopping us?

ask the TD boys to do it - they know how, but are worried about Microsoft.  People alter/adjust game physicis all the time without so much as a peep from MS...and certainly not for an OLD game...anyway, when i was told that they COULD patch the game, I've been pretty bummed that they won't.

i've never had a prob w/ this computer, but now I've got a big one.  When launching SOME games, not MCM thank God, the puter is restarting.  The only change I've made was to download a couple of games via Torrent.  I got RISK II, an oldie, and it ran several times no problem.  now, when I try to start it, and another one I got, 4x4 Evo 2, i'm restarting. 

i've updated drivers, antivirus, verified there are no compatability probs.  What do you guys think?  what am I doing wrong???  thanks in advance........

does that mean that you will be able to tweak the .trk file?

ok, after installation, I try to start.  I get the config menu, and then once I click "PLAY" it's not going anywhere, and I'm getting that damn box that says "MTX has encountered a serious problem".  The demo is doing the same thing.

I've got the latest video drivers...anybody have any great ideas?  any help would be appreciated....
