Is anyone able to run MX vs ATV Unleashed on Windows 10?  The game loads fine but as soon as I go to start a race it crashes while loading.  I ran it fine on Windows 7 but Windows 10 seems to be a no go.  I grabbed a copy from GOG.com a while ago because I like their DRM free installs.  Their support asked me to try a few things but none of them helped.

If anyone has any ideas to get it to work I would appreciate it.

Hi all,

I think I found a way to fix the M O T H E R F * C K I N G crash that many users have experienced since 2006 when playing this game on laptops with onboard graphic cards [like Intel GPUs] :D

OK, so these are the steps you should follow in order to enable the fix in your computer. In case you need help, reply to this post, ok?

STEPS:

[1] Get the awesome MULTI-EX COMMANDER game modding tool at: http://multiex.xentax.com/
                                                                                                                   ... and donate if you consider MultiEX useful, ok?...

[2] In order to learn how to open\unpack\repack .PAK files, you should watch this video by one of the best modders this game ever had > FALLGUY 104: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fU3HpptJjo
                                                                                                 ... and sub to his channel if you consider his help useful, ok?...

[3] Now that you know how to open, unpack (extract) and repack .PAK files, go to "C:\<GAME ROOT FOLDER>\MX vs. ATV Unleashed\data" and choose whatever race track you like [eg, the first motocross track named LAGO a.k.a. Nat05.pak] and extract all of its files to a folder in your desktop.
Tip: make a backup copy of the Nat05.PAK file in case something goes wrong ;)

[4] Navigate to your desktop-> locate the folder that contains the newly extracted files -> find the only file with .TOY extension in the folder [eg, C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\Desktop\<FOLDER WITH EXTRACTED FILES>\Data\Env\Nat05\Nat05.TOY].
Tip: use the search bar to find such file ;)

[5] Open the .TOY file -> find this line: NumberOfSunFlares=1 and replace 1 with 0.

[6] Now find this other line: FlareAlpha= and replace whatever number you see after the = with 50.

[7] Now watch again the above video and repack all the files you unpacked in Step 3.

[8] Now paste your new Nat05.PAK file in "C:\<GAME ROOT FOLDER>\MX vs. ATV Unleashed\data" and replace the old Nat05.PAK

[9] Now run the game to see if this workaround works :)

The next version of UE2 is now available for download. The program comes in a ZIP file which you can unzip wherever you like on your computer, and UE2 will find MVA and the files it needs. If you haven't used the official MVA installer or have moved your MVA installation from it's original folder without re-installing it, you might have problems starting UE2.

The ZIP package contains:
  UnleashedToo.exe - program files
  UnleashedToo.chm - help file
  d3dx8d.dll - program support file

About the plugin for MultiEx, I can't help ya cuz I think the latest time I used the stuff, it's something like 4 months ago.
I know they released a new version but I'm not sure if we must intall the plugin or not, the best you can do is visiting their forums at www.xentax.com

       -Place Objects/Nature
       -Place Bales in a "Chain-Like Pattern"
       -Place and Edit Water onto your track
       -There is alot more for you to find out that i have written, but the list keeps going on and on...

I made this hoping that beginners, novices, and maybe even some pro track creators can learn more about creating a track than before. I go into high-depth in this tutorial, but I had COLORCOATED the original file so that it is easier to read the document quickly and not get bored. I know people dont like to read, and i understand that, because i dont. But i put alot of effort and heart into this so i really hope you enjoy this and appreciate my hard work i have put in for the Reflex Community. With this document, i really hope the future track creators can build some amazing stuff later on.    :)

I knew there was the MXManiacs com website, but has been offline since long ago..

He\she was the modder behind the MXVAU Ultimate Edition 2011 and some other Physics mods for MXVAU. I need to contact him\her ASAP!

Well.. let's say I just found a [temporary] fix, and it's called ''Transgaming's Swift Shader v3.0''.
And yeah, I know SS it's not a big deal, but at least I can play this game with decent FPS :l

Get latest version of Transgaming's SwiftShader v3.0 [build 5003] here:

Game runs well until it freezes right after clicking on ''Start Race'' on stock tracks. Any help?
