I know some of the TD boys are capable of doing this, so could you please help me out? I'll PM you a link where to download it from.
It is only 1.91 MB, in a .zip file.
But I need the .PRJ file. I need to edit the spline, as the funnell is messed up and bundle it again in Dillo1 so I can put the track pictures in. Just for the record, I don't plan on uploading this, just for personal use with some friends, as it is a replica track here in West Oz.
It would really be appreciated if you could do this. Just reply here, and I will PM you.
This is the 2nd time I have had to re-do all the objects. I made a copy of the .prj, but they all turned crap when I had it opened in DilloToo, and other track in Dillo. So it re-named the track in DilloToo and overwritted it.
Again, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
Robbo.
so just redo the spline :-\
I find doing splines in DilloToo pretty hard. Well I haven't tried yet. But either way.. no track picture in game.
so, do the spline in armadillo, and add a track picture
I don't have the Project file. (.prj)
It was overwritted when I had 2 different tracks opened in each dillo and dillotoo.
But I still have a .ENV file of it, but not a .PRJ. So I can't put in the track pictures in dillotoo (or can I?), and I havent learnt how to make splines in Dilltoo (if you can do it).
load the dis in d1 and make the spline then save the prj and load the spline into your d2 project
I would, but I can't open the track in DilloToo anymore.
I've given up! :(
Just rebuild it in armadillo, if you have all the files you need, all you need to do is figure out what your height and disp strength is. It's a 10 minute job if the maps and texs are done.
Besides you'll need more than just the prj file. The spine is the .tdf...then of course there are all of the other supporting files and I'm pretty sure that reconstituting those from the env is out of the question.
Yeah.. true. I shouldn't of been lazy. I already know the disp strength and grid size. It was mainly the fact of all the objects I had already placed. And it was the 3rd time I had done them. Laurie PMed and I gave him the link to the track, and he said he will see what he can do. So if not, I guess I'll have to do it again. I was just really annoyed because the objects. Anyways, I should of been greatful the are much easier to place now.
Thanks.
i allways save my projects 2 times when im working on a track, under 2 different names, after every track making session, just in case i mess up. allso it may be a good idea, to export your work, you have done in dillotoo back to the project file, that way if you mess up and or need to go back to armadillo for any reason, you would have all the current files you need, but dont forget to use your A.P.M before you you open up
your project again in armadillo. only take s a few clicks of you mouse to to export everything.
regards chris
Cool. Well it's always good to learn the hard way. How do you mean export my work from dillotoo back to the project file? How do I do that? I will now make 2 copies of everything, with 1 step at a time:P
Thanks for you help.
very simple, when you go to the terrain area where you have the option to import your textures, you will allso
see an option to to save your trn file and scn file, you use them to export your files back to your project folder in armadillo. the same applys to your esb file, you need to go esb section of dillotoo and do the same, i find that particuly usefull when i need to go back to armadillo. if i need to do anything in armadillo, it saves haveing to replant the tree,s.for the spline you can do that allso in the spline area. as i say just few seconds exporting your files, saves hours of hard work gone down the lavvy. yeah, i to found out the hard way, thanks to the twisteddirt guys they have saved my wife from getting an ear bashing when things go wrong. just one other thing, when you use apm. you will get an error coming up about the lighting, just ignore that, and carry on as normal with the apm. hope this helps you and stops you pulling your hair out.
have fun regards chris
