I made this...it would be cool to have it in mm2...any help is appreciated...

NICE :o whats the polly count.. but ull have to talk to extreme if u want it in mcm2 looks cool tho!
the body is only 1800 verts and the wheels are around 1000 each, its all mapped to a single map...will it work?
here it is in another game that I make cars for...

dam...for some reason the pics got all screwed when I posted them...sorry for crap quality I dont know what happened
um...nevermind...lol...I tried out the avt thats available for mcm2 and the games physics just don't work well with more than 2 wheels...I might make a new dirtbike for the game tho...whats the poly limits for the bikes parts???
Contact extreme for that info. If you make a dirtbike... Make a KXF250. We need a good KX model
the polly limit would be 2000-4000 pollys without being laggy
is that body and forks? or does that include the wheels?
well all you have to make it the bike without wheels, b/c extreme will put them on
But u can make ur own wheels if u want right?

omg your stupid bro there is no polly limit to get it to lag the thing that does so it laggs on a track is if there is alot of trees and trust me ones i made a stadium that was 150000 polys and there was nada lag
It depends on ur system specs alot, the game to... I think for a "low" poly bike 1000 to 1500 polygons, and for a more "high" poly up to 3000 polygons, whitout the wheels, if u make wheels, I think around 200 or 250 polygons each would be good, just a guess on that...
Bikes can't use multiple texture maps right, but if you want high detail textures u can use 1024x1024 maps, probably a good idea to release it whit an 512x512 one for the guys whit a slower system. Keep in mind, if you use detailed textures theres a big chance you can cut away a lot of polygons, example, use some small beveling on your texture map so you dont need to add more faces for depth so you can use them for the basice shape...
I hope that helps a bit, you just need to blend in the textures whit the model to make it look good if you know what I mean... talking from my experience in the GTA-VC modding scene wich a was involved in for quite some time...
I believe there is a poly limit guys. i remember extreme saying something about it WAY back. But I could be wrong.
um...you people have seen my atv...there shouldn't be any questions as to my modeling knowledge. if there is go here www.kingcobracustoms.20megsfree.com I don't need info on HOW to model OR map a model...I just need to know what I have to work with...I can MAKE ANYTHING trust me...I can make you a dirtbike with 300 polygons or 300,000...I need to know what the limits are. sheesh
Sjeeess don't get all fired up man, I just posted some good polygon limits you should keep in mind, IMHO.
OMG dude :o Those look REAL! Please make an 04 KXF 250. Please. But contact extreme and im sure he'll tell ya all you need to know. ;)
Very nice models on the photo pages ;)
Oh man kingcobra who cares about not being able to change the physics, you need to make some of those cars for the game. That would be seet imo.
LOL bunny... they probably to HIGH poly...
I can clearly see that Clint. So when he was making those, I'm sure he was goin' for high poly, but I'm sure he can find a way to reduce the polys to be able to have it playable in mcm2.
Just thought/suggestion
Probably optimize modifier, and that goes at cost of the goog looks... starting from scratch would be better
Yeah probably, it might then end up looking like crap. Starting from scrath would be better I guess because you would know the number of polys you had to work with. :D
I made a model that has 5700 polys and run fine on a asus v7700 geforce gts2 32mb and thats a 4 year old card.
wel 5700 polys and exactly alot... like the cars on his site are probably at least 100 000 ...
