in dillo2 97 the objects i made tansparent whit pink is pink faraway. but up-close they are transparent... why?

I think this was discussed in some other topic, not sure but it shouldn't matter cause it will work ingame :)

i did say wrong.. i meant  in the game..

but in dillo2 there is another bug that bugs me allot that if i place 2 ramp then only 1 show

I have a bug too, when I pack the track, I have an error message with my objects . The "stock custom" objects of dillo2 are accepted but mine are rejected. I'm trying to pack a nat. track with dillo2 0.97, apm open, mxu texts and trees, stock and custom objects. I have the updated res files.  :-\ When I delete all my custom objects, the track can be packed.  :'(

Try running the .prj to APM first...

I allways run the .prj in apm first, it's not the reason of my problem.

Ok i'll try and take a look at it today and get a fix out. Maybe you could send me one of the objects you think is causing the problem for me to test with.

I just worked on the End-Of-File error and i found it's because of the textures. PS usually puts some signature text on the end of the TGA file. D2 tries to read past the end of the file while it's filling buffers with image data, which isn't a problem usually because of this extra text but then some image editors don't add this extra text, so the TGA reader in D2 throws up an error when it runs past the EndOfFile instead of just dealing with it.

If you redo the texture - which D2 fails on - in PS and resave it, it probably will be ok. If you look at the TGA in a hex editor you will probably see the text at the end of the file.

its every object that has transpartnt pink that has that problem..  had no problems whit earlyer dillo2 verisons..

In that case you can try setting the 'Don't convert Pink to Alpha' check box in the options. That might help until i get a fix out.

it was hooked...     but that  bug about  when placing 2  of the same object and one of them wont show why is that?

I have a test track with 2 objects the same in and they show, maybe you could send/link me to the object and i'll try it out.

Ok thanks i'll check it out.

Edit: Ok i have checked it out and i can see all of the objects that i place even when there is more than one of the same kind. I'm not sure why you can't. Maybe it's something to do with the objects you are using. Do they use transparency? Can you use the 'compass' button to find where it should be on the track is the red object indicator showing for the object?

Sorry if these are obvious Qs but i need to get as much info about what you are doing and seeing to understand the problem.

thats okey but it dont matter it it has transparency or not cuz its the same bug.. but it works fine in dillo2 96.6  not sure in 97b
